During 2012 Hillside has given sanctuary to more animals than in any previous year. Just one of many groups needing urgent help, and representing our biggest intake to date, was a herd of sixty stray and abandoned horses and ponies from South Wales, which included many pregnant mares. The story of how these horses came to so desperately need someone to give them a home, their subsequent arrival at Hillside, and the wonderful sight of the herd grazing, with their new foals at foot, in a beautiful, natural environment is told in this film...
Fantasic outcome, Hillside is a charity to be proud of.
A heart warming video which makes donation to the Rescue a very worthwhile cause as you clearly have some very dedicated helpers.
Thank you hillside for helping these innocent poor horses and giving them a happy life xx
So thankful for people like you ,really wonderful to see them all rescued .
you are absolutely amazing and never fail to help these wonderful animals in need. Will continue to support you as often as we can x
What a great rescue, thank you for being there for all those wonderful horses ❤❤❤
11yrs later. Still a strong video.
Thank you so much for saving all these animals! When ever I go on holiday to Norfolk, I always make my mum and dad take me to Hillside. ;)

I and many others have been helping with the ponies on manmoel in south wales. they are still dying up there :'( bransbys and swhp have taken some, but theres still over 40 and several foals up there in desperate need of help. we dont know who else to turn to :'(

That is so beautiful! What amazing work you do, thank you!
Thank you hillside foor helping there's
You lovely lovely people!! Well done! X
God Bless you for saving these beautiful creatures. It always breaks my heart to see abandoned animals and for the life of me, I don't understand how people can be so cruel to any animal as to simply abandon it. I'm curious - why did the horses paw the water like they did (at the end of your video)?
Tearful, Hillside are gifted people. Your doing a good job 😊
Thank you so much for the resvue of these beautyful horses!
Well done saving the horses .
These Gypos are a despicible bunch .
Hillside is the one to support and "Mare and foal" too
Well done - bravo.
Horsey heaven 😊💖💖xxxx
Are there any horses left straying? I was just curious because I hear the stray horse problem in Wales is quite serious, with large amounts of horses straying through villages. My family and I wouldn't mind taking a couple on - once we are sure they are stay of course! The work you do is great; are you based only in Norfolk or do you have several centres?
Hello natja08, yes, all our horses are definitely castrated to avoid the herd increasing. We wish other people would do the same, as irresponsible breeding causes so many horses to be unwanted
Beautiful and happy ending.
Did you castrate the horses to avoid that the herd grows and grows?
So sad hope they are all well
Ty! They seemed tame so did they have a owner and they escape? I was sorta drifting off to sleep. If there was a stray horse outside my house I would of given it food, water and would have called for a rescue place.
Fantastic lovely people you all are.do you have a donation text or dd? Xxx
were these horses split into different rescues centers like the blue cross?
Might to you all xxxx
🐎💖💗💓

What do you do whith the horses afterwards?, do you give them in adoption??
Humans are so cruel.... Like abandoning of their love ones...
Name the White and black one oreo
I can take 4 2 females and 2 males
You could just have taken down 1 fence and the animals would be free and get a much better life
