    I appreciate the videos you have made talking about the school. I just started at the school, and it brings peace to hear some of your advice. Thank you for putting this information up. If you have any other ways to succeed in the program can you please enlighten up LOL

    Hello! Was there any presentation you had to do in front of other students in nursing school?

    • @nurse_krizia
      @nurse_krizia  3 года назад +1

      Hey! Yes there are a couple! It also depends on the professor. I’ve had presentations in almost every class. Also for clinicals, your professors have you practice SBAR at every clinical. SBAR is when you present one of your patients and is a form of communication to relay patient info

      @@bsuwujwn560 I was afraid of talking in front of people but the more I did it, the more I got comfortable! I was the most nervous when doing physical assessments on my patients in front of my instructor 😅

    Hey! Just stumbled to your channel. I'm a current WCU student in OB and I might have to repeat this course. I really feel defeated, even though I know this isn't the end of the world. Glad to see you almost done and I have to keep watching your videos; they've been a boost since it helps me feel less alone in my struggles as nursing student.

    • @nurse_krizia

      you are not alone! being at home throughout all of this has made it so much harder for me to study. I've felt unmotivated and defeated at times as well. Keep pushing and you got this! You've only got a couple terms to go. Take this time to reflect and find out how you can improve! If you ever need any help or need someone to talk to, you can DM me on my insta @kriziaann__

    I started watching your vids a few months ago I love them!! Also congrats on almost being done! I start core at WCU in January and am curious as to what skills we learn in fundamentals lab. Is it CNA responsibility type stuff? And also do we get assigned to a clinical site at all during the 1st semester of core?

    • @nurse_krizia
      @nurse_krizia  3 года назад +1

      Yes! You learn all the basics and it’s basically what a cna would do. That’s why after you finish the first term, you can apply for jobs without a license. It’s a lot of information and can be overwhelming but you learn a lot!!

    • @nurse_krizia
      @nurse_krizia  3 года назад

      Usually you get assigned to a skilled nursing facility but due to covid, it’s not likely you will be placed in one this January due to the high risk of this population

      @@nurse_krizia yea my skills lab is on campus this term, there were only 20 spots available at the VA but I didn’t get assigned there :/

    • @nurse_krizia
      @nurse_krizia  3 года назад

      @@elliehowell763 yeah it’s very limited but you get to work on manikins at labs. The first 4 weeks is in labs and you learn how to do skills and the next 4 weeks is in clinical but it’s okay! You’ll learn as you go!
