- This video is taken from the ending of the third and final Tenchi Muyo movie, "Tenchi Muyo in Love 2: Haruka Naru Omoi" ("Distant Memories", released in English as "Tenchi Forever"). As the concluding part of the "Negishi" TV series continuity, the credits featured a montage of scenes from the TV episodes, with sepia tone and film grain/scratch effects added. This video reconstructs that montage from the source footage, full-screen and without the post-processing effects. An additional minute of footage from the film itself has also been added so that the song runs its full length (without just leaving the last minute or so of video blank or as scrolling credits). The song is titled "Love Song ga Kikoeru" ("I Can Hear a Love Song") and is performed by the Japanese singer Anri.
This video features dual language song subtitles. Click the options button in the lower right corner of the video player and choose the subtitle track from the "CC" (closed captions) menu. You may need to have a Japanese language pack installed to view the Japanese subtitles correctly.

Nothing beats 90s anime
I love Ryoko.
The final work from the Tenchi Universe continuity, and the last appearance of Kiyone Makibi to date.
Best way to end Tenchi Universe. It wasn't an action heavy movie, way more drama but it's my favorite of the Tenchi movies and the soundtrack is one of the best.

Exactly! There's no argument who Tenchi chooses; I don't care which series it is. According to one of the original producers, it was always his intent to make it (mainly the OVA's) about the two.

This is a good song! I love Anri's voice in this. I can't believe it...the last song of Tenchi Muyo's movie films. And I think it's a great way to cap off what these guys have gone through. Do you think they'll ever continue this? I don't think so and if they did, it won't be the same capture and heart it had in the past. So fans, let's bid this series with a great fare-thee-well and enjoy the memories it gave us anime watchers.
This brings back so many memories.i got this as a young teen at mediaplayer store and had no idea how different this was gonna be from the toonami series but loved it,felt like the end.anime really made you feel things other cartoons didnt that i was used to
Best way to say - thank you viewers for growing with us. It is over now but we had a good time in our minds. I remember when seen in long time ago now is a memory nearly forgotten.

The VHS version was subbed. I own the Tenchi Forever VHS version and it was subbed...
I may not be satisfied on how the characters turned out to be in the third movie, but this mtv was still by far an excellent job! Even with the subtitles, I'm finally able to know what the lyrics were after nine years! Awesome!
I wish more songs from this series had been/would be translated.
I remember this song like it was yesterday this anime and movie help me thru alot depression I hated my school life being bullied and made fun of I love watching over and over this movie and anime series
If I had one wish in this world it would be to redo the tenchi muyo ryo ohki not the ova but second part that only had 4 episodes
@TheWapower I know right!!!? The more awesome the anime, the more depressed I am when it's over...the anime dilemma, I suppose. Better to have experienced Tenchi than not though, right? ;)

I remember watching this thinking that tenchi was gone no more shows or movies. Then gxp and the other ovas came out
@TheWapower I didn't like Tenchi in Tokyo nor the GXP or Pretty Sammy. When they did do the Tenchi Muyo Ryo-oki arc storyline to close out the Tenchi Muyo chapter, I felt it was missing something that the animations and music from the past only had. When you remake the animations to make it look more flashier and prettier, it loses out on the old school nostalgic feeling.

Nice little AMV. Though I'm surprised you didn't use material from Tenchi Muyo! In Love 1, since that too is part of the Negishi canon.
At least they have on most anime sites, so you can get a daily dose of Ryoko

T in Tokyo was alright. It was Tenchi, thats it. The real Tenchi Muyo greatness ended with this movie. even though i dont want them to do a new show because they'l probably mess it up like they did with GXP or Pretty Sammy, i cant help but miss it.

出来るのであったならばそちらの内容のを劇場作品としてやってもらいたかったとゆう思いがあります

@dannysimion I hear what you are saying. The voice actors are the problem with me. The previous actors in Tenchi their voices were like butter it rolled onto the anime. I thought Ryoko was the best of all. I do a voice comparison now the new actors are crap.
