I accidentally came across one of the twende videos yesterday. I finished all episodes yesterday and now am re-watching them again on my phone. Great narration, quality background song and beautiful scenes. Kenya is such a lovely country. Keep the good work NTV
That hippo is from river Athi/Sabaki/Galana, when the river is full during the rainy season, it swims upstream and during drought or low rain, it moves down to the estuary where water is permanent and plenty of mangroves to graze in as well. The hippo cant swim into the ocean though, it only reaches where the fresh water and salty water meet. We used to call it the point of confusion(I grew up in Malindi, so I know the place well). Even the fish they are catching are getting confused right there at the estuary. No fish or hippo or any other water animal could cross over the point of confusion because of osmosis. If the hippo or fish from river Athi move into the ocean, they'll be dehydrated through osmosis-molecules of water/nutrients from their body move thro semipermeable membrane/skin from a less concentrated into a more concentrated ocean. And vice versa, if animals from the ocean move into fresh river sabaki, they will absorb a lot of water and other molecules into their body. However, I must also say that there are creatures that are able to balance the concentration and can survive on either side.
Memories are made of this! Nakumbuka zamani hizo tulipokua tunamtembelea shangazi yetu Malindi vile tulikua tunangojea ferry - Malindi bus ndio ilikua inasafarisha abiria kutoka Nairobi mpaka Malindi.
This town is a hidden gem💎. There are many amazing places within Kilifi...This is just but a highlight...Tembea Kilifi...the villas, hotels ,beach views ...night life you need to know the right location 😅🤣😂 and people. This town hosts afew NGOs and Pwani University...nice history recap.
Kilifi is special, been here for the last 8 months and it has so much to discover. I will always have a fondly reminiscence of this place when I go back to the Rift
This would be a good tourist site but a good tarmac road must be built! In Kenya we make the mistake to think that tourism is just about national parks.
Please go for the Tana Delta as it enters the Ocean with many branches/mouths, Athi enters the Indian Ocean as one stream hence estuary haki walimu wetu wa geography walijaribu. Alafu hapo kwa junction after Sabaki bridge kuna mahindi fresh na shrimps safi sana.
That's my Home county a btful place under the local government we have still we're missing good leaders to transform the count to be a better place and have alot of opportunities for both the locals and Kenyan's at large
@@maureenogaye7323 Tiuda should be the right english pronounciation but natives who were swahili speaking used a swa intonation hence chuda! Watu wa msa watacheka wakiskia vile amesema ingawa yuko sawa. Hawajazoea hivyo! Just like Naijas pronounce Olusegun as Olushegun, Ivorians pronounce Quattara as watara! Since that royal dude lived in msa as a native, locals called him chuda.

This show is a one word show .......INCREDIBLE and RELIABLE
I love the natural narration. Switching back forth English and Swa like a true Kenyan.
This is very quickly becoming my favorite travel show in Kenya.

Nop Kilifi was derived by the name Europeans pointed to a town on top of a Cliff...

Nani analala ????
did he say Tudor badala ya chuda
It's written as Tudor as you said but pronounced as Chuda. So you are right!
Tudor is an English name....so it's wrong to say chuda
