A lot of Metal purists Hate bands like A7X. They say that they hate M. Shadows voice.....I can understand that...I don't feel the same way but I can see where people might not love his voice. That being said...this band uses something that more metal bands should use...Backing vocals..everyone but Johnny is providing backing vocals and it adds so much depth to their songs. There is a reason that they sell a ton of music. Its because they love it and take the time to make quality music.
Well said....it falls into "pop " music for some. The difference is these guys are through and through highly creative and talented musicians! A lot of pop musicians don't write their own lyrics, choreography, or help with the instrumentals. Same goes for my favorite band Thrice! Music from the heart and soul 💯
@@sly11benal7 I have no clue how people think this is pop. It’s metal. Sure, it might not be some extremely heavy deathcore band, but it’s still metal.
I used to be a hater in high school as a contrarion but I saw them with disturbed and it was one of my favorite shows ever. I gained a lot of respect for them when they sounded so close to the studio recordings.
City of Evil was their 3rd album, and it's amazing.. a special type of metal, I think you'd really enjoy Blinded In Chains or Sidewinder!! Also the song they said that was too much too soon is A little piece of heaven .. it's basically rated R so Rv should not be present l
The sad part is after they wrote and performed this song, it hit home. The Rev passed away and so it had impact for the band and fan. Rev was a super drummer and the smiles in the band
The best part of this video is that ive heard this song at least a hundred times and this man enlightened me on the complexity of the *BLBLBLPBLP BLP* & *BLEHH BLIH BLIP*
When they come back out on tour you will definitely go see them. You wont be disappointed. One of the best concerts ive ever seen. And i have seen tons of heavy metal concerts.
Hell yeah! I'm so glad I seen them in December in 06. Intimate indoor venue in sin city! Legit, Death By Stereo opened up. 1 of the best shows I seen also. I've seen 80+ bands live
That’s the Rev on drums, man! One of the best drummers ever! He’s awesome! A shame we lost him. What a band! I like your reaction to these great bands… subscribing to your channel, buddy! Like it! I’m a musician as well and have studied music my entire life… I love all kinds of music. Another great that comes to mind is Roy Clark went he played Malagueña… it’s not rock, it’s country but that guy can PLAY! Watch when he performed that song on The Odd Couple show. Amazing! Chet Atkins is something too! And Stevie Ray Vaughan. And BILLY STRINGS!!! Flat out INCREDIBLE GUITARIST! Also check out Black Label Society… the song is Stillborn, live… what a great song! Zakk Wylde is another great guitarist! Used to play lead for Ozzy. So so many greats! I keep revamping my comment! Lol.. Thx for your efforts for the Philippines too… my girlfriend is Filipino. You’re awesome!
LOL 7:48 that would be 8 notes before the 3 chugs (the 'dun dun dun'), and that repeats, so 22 notes before the 3 climbing power chords that round out the phrase. all in all 25 note phrase, ( though i believe you were just asking about the 8 note flourish or whatever)
You like transitions? You need to listen to some old Metallica. I recommend Fade to Black studio version. It's beautiful! Some of the best guitar solos there has ever been.
@@goat7517 couldn't agree more Indeed the five of them are like professors of music with such unimaginable set of skills, but sometimes their songs just sound like what you've said "wank-off contest".
Have you reacted to a band called Dragonforce with their song such as 'Through the Fire and Flames' and 'Heroes of Our Time' ? Trust me, they're also great instrumentalists.
You needing help. Call out for the nightwish army. ghost love score live at wacken 2013 or Ghost River live at wacken 2013 An hold on. Great band. Excellent music. Epic performances.
Hey mate, dunno if you're super familiar with a band called Megadeth, but I think as a producer, you would appreciate a song called The Conjuring. Imagine a jazz drummer playing for a metal band, and you have a vague idea. This song feels like you're injecting heroine whilst snorting coke. It is mental on every level.
I love watching people react to A7X with big smiles on their faces. 😁
So do I🙂
Same
Me too!
Yep..me as well

Fantastic song!
This riff is super easy if your wondering. The solo is super hard
That’s metal, good metal for you!!🤘🏻🤘🏻
Así es enseñándole la buena música a las nuevas generaciones.🤘
Why do you remind me of jordan peele?

Actually the rhythm that you said is Zacky Vengeance role

"too much information for one song" man, don't let him get anywhere near Dream Theater haha The Glass Prison maybe ?
dream theater is good but sometimes it doesn't seem they synchronize or mix right..
dream theater sounds like a wank off contest

I also really like this band, and I like to see your reaction to them. please make a video reaction to their song called Unholy Confessions.🙏🏼
They aren't traditional heavy metal
That 27 contact clause though?! Anybody?
And Syn’s guitar skills are as good as Slash’s with GNR or even dare I say, way better
