Rather than pixel peeping so deeply as you did on the church window, I would highly recommend making prints in two sizes. One with a print area of 10”x13” and a second at 20”x26”. I expect you will find both prints to be exceptional. This lenses will definitely deliver for social media. I bought a used version of this lens for $60 USD and use it equally along side my PRO and premium primes.
Pro lenses are the “Best”, sometimes. (Studio or product photography.). Tripod. This lens is “Best”..when I go walking. Or hiking. Almost everything. 💁🏻♀️💕
Hi, I’ve just found your channel. Very honest review of the lens. Thank you for letting us know your settings and also for talking through your Lightroom edits that has helped me a lot. This was one of the first MfT lenses I bought several years ago. Incidentally I first bought a four thirds version of this lens in error not realising the different mount! As a complete hobbyist I find it to be a very competent lens and in view of its weight can be carried easily.
Awesome, and well done for buying this lens and shame you bought a Four Thirds lens, and I'm sure a lot of people have done that. Thanks very much for your nice comment!
Thanks very much for watching and for your comment. It was one of my earlier videos and maybe not polished like some RUclipsrs, though it's the content that's important and not the delivery I hop. It's still a useful little lens and I am so pleased with it that it needed a video. Cheers 👍
Wow that's awesome, you've got a nice lens, thanks for watching. I think we need these review videos and it's nice to see people actually use the gear you are interested in. 👍👍
I have the pro dual lens kit and the dual kit lens. They are good lens at F4/F5.6. I use tele to pick out details They are my travel/holiday kit along with the 9-18mm f4-5.6 and Lumix Leica 25mm f1.4. I use them with M10 mk 1+grip and the 3 batteries...
Me too. I’m really enjoying the 9-18mm for $200. Used. That’s a focal range I didn’t think I would use much so I didn’t want to make a huge investment. Very pleasantly surprised. 💁🏻♀️
I have the f2.8 version and am thinking about getting this for a trip to Central America so as to have a lighter kit that I'm less worried about getting stolen. With adobe camera raws new AI Noise reduction tool I can shoot at iso 12800 and remove most of the noise so the aperture means very little to me in regards to exposure.
It is very small and very cheap to buy and even though it is nowhere near as sharp as your pro lens it is a much better lens for travel. It won't let you down and for the price it is worth buying. Thanska lot for watching for your comment 👍👍
Found the 2nd version for £45 and I love it great for me second hiking lens and I shoot f8 and above so it's decently sharp enough for me trying to get the 14-150 but can't find them cheaper then £300 so I can just carry one lens and my em1 mark 2
That's a great price, and I agree that is the perfect travel lens and you do get nice photos. Generally the cost photography gear has gone up in price. Thanks a lot for watching and for leaving a comment 👍
@@MyPhotoJourney thank you and no problem the second had pro glass has doubled in price now I wonder if more people are getting into m43 all lenses are getting more expensive
This lens came with a used Olympus camera and frankly I have not used it. I watched 2 or 3 reviews of the 14-150 and bought one. Having used it, it has become my all in one. I do have the 12-50 with macro capability to cover that range but like the idea of carrying only one lens. I did enjoy your video and subscribed.
Hi, thanks a lot for watching and for your comment. I agree the lens is still worth having and the price is so cheap. I filmed the video in Lincoln, a little distant from Guildford, but both cool places 👍👍

Very informative review this is. I got this lens many years ago so I am glad people still find it relevant and competent today.

I bought one from CEX for £30 today, I though it was a pricing error. Really looking forward to taking it to Spain with me next week as its so light.
Wow, £30, I used my today, seriously it will work - well done and good luck in Spain 🇪🇸 👏

Thanks for watching and the subscription. I use this lens a lot and agree it's ideal to easily carry around. 👍
hallo do you ever compared this 45-150 with the 14-150?
I am just deciding between the two
@@jolladevices Watch Rob Trek’s video on that. He compares the 2 lenses.
Interesting that they both have their sweet spots on sharpness.
This len,s was a recommended first purchase by Robin Wong and Rob Trek. Optically it,s superb, trying to move to pro stuff but the price differance!
It's an ideal lens, light and inexpensive, and I too would like to get some pro lenses. Thanks a lot for watching 👍
Just picked one up not bad for the price Im using the Lumix GH5
Perfect combo and the price wins everytime, thanks for watching 👍
I plan on using this lens for railfanning!
Fabulous, and the lens is light and easy to use and will be ideal for Railfanning, thanks for watching 👍
I do have this lens and I think it's great for the money.
Absolutely, ideal for the price 👌

Is this compatible for EPL 8?
Hi, it is very compatible that an e-pl8, it would be perfect for that camera. Thanks a lot for watching and for your comment. 👍👍
12-50 EZ spends the majority of the time on my Olympus camera.
Nice lens, and perfect for leaving on the camera. Thanks for watching 👍
Olympus 40-150mm f 4 pro
Very nice lens, maybe my next purchase, though I really would like the f/2.8. Thanks for watching 👍 👀
But I’m not “Pro”. That means no one is paying me to lug around heavy lenses. 😁
Found a new at an outlet sale in a shop for 85 $
Wow, that is a nice price for a new lens, well done 👍👍
@@MyPhotoJourney yes it was a good price right? 🙂 it is so small haha used to aps-c canon lenses...
@@camillaablom Amazing howq small the lenses are.
