  • www.nondualitei... - All about nothing is a Dutch movie which invites you to transcend the daily rat race by taking a radically different view on life. This ancient Indian philosophy is called non-duality and has been embraced by the likes of Albert Einstein, Eckhart Tolle, Jim Carrey, Ramana Maharshi and Byron Katie. When this insight strikes, your whole life can change drastically… while nothing has to change.

    This video reflects some of the teachings of Eckhart Tolle that have changed my life completely. Accepting "what is" has been the greatest relief from suffering any longer. Its work not to identify with our worries and complaints at first, but, gosh, do you feel free when you just Let it be"! When we focus on being instead of thinking, life becomes full of synchronicities and blessings.

    it's nice to finally watch something about nonduality, which is actually also entertainment, it looks like a regular movie, but at the same time it's pleasant to watch and I even understand that! (Which I can't say about typical nonduality movies :))

    This is a great movie, I liked that it addressed everyday scenarios and analyzed peoples usual behaviours. What did I learn from this video. The only thing that is there is the time now, future and the past are just a concept. Our brains reflect on the past and try to predict the future and put labels on them. For example, This memory is bad, this thing tomorrow will be painful. But it's all a concept, it's all predictions and sloppy memories, which may not even be true. We don't have free will, its nice to take responsibility, but we do not control ourselves. There is no 'I', you as a simple thought are just a concept, you are like an illusion that your brain created. So what is your job as a thing that is not real, do not try to interfere with your brain and the body, because you can't, do not get invested into what is happening, because you can't control it, so there is no need to be worried, just observe the present moment, that's all you can do.

    This is very very helpful. But (there's always a but!) neuroplasticity proves that we can indeed change where we put our focus and that with practice this can become more habitual. So one can put "you" or "I" in quotes or not and play various word games about what "will" means or doesn't mean but if we wish to we can indeed change things in our lives. The explanation for this does't really matter. In fact we can believe in free will or not. And we can believe we create our thoughts or not. But nevertheless if we are honest we can and will want to improve our lot in life in various ways and it would be a rare fool who given this option would not take it.
    So the point is yes we can accept things as they are and this is massively powerful. But we can also change things.
    This is the finding of neuroplasticity and it baffles me why given this knowledge we don't spread it more.
    I think it is dishonest to claim one isn't seeking to improve one's lot or others' lot in one way or another. Consider the motivation for this film. It was done to help people right? So surely it would be natural that all of us would like to the improve the lot of ourselves and others.
    The problem is not beliefs nor whether the beliefs are true or not. The problem is what we do as a consequence of those beliefs.
    Don't get me wrong I am not knocking this in any way. I'm just trying to add to it. I'm on your side! In fact we're all on the same side cause there is no other side! Its just us!
    Take care!

    When we stop trading personhood for bliss, either consciously or unconsciously we will REALIZE what we are. Searching for bliss is only coming from your personhood on a quest. There is no I when you are there and no I can ever find it. See only the person looks for love, bliss, and freedom. The person will never be God, only God pretending to be a person. So you sit , give up the game- and when the mind says get up you say no. It will surrender and you will be what is. In order to know what you are you must surrender what you pretend to be. This state is never a progression or attained. It is your natural state and when you find it you are not you anymore. I say it this way.
    The I in I
    Is the I in you
    And that I - is love.

    Such a nice 😉 film. I've been reading about nonduailty for years, just need to put into practice more. Question... I get that free will is out of our control but what if someone actually does or says something that in turn has a very negative effect? Surely as humans we have responsibility for our actions? Or are we to ignore guilt too? Having a conscience is good for the planet. Do feel like I need educating more in this field as I see too many contradictions in some situations. Loving your channel though ❤️

    Hey whats the song at the start called?

  • @stephaniejade7056
    @stephaniejade7056 6 лет назад +1

    I agree with other's comments that this movie was an interesting take on non-duality, though I do not agree with a couple of the concepts: humans do, indeed, have free-will -- yes, there is a gap before your consciousness is aware what your brain already does, but that is because your sub-consciousness is more aware (there has to be a signaling system to convey information, which information then produces thoughts, which then based on our conscious free will create more thoughts) -- there is no determinism as this movie suggests. Also...
    The script is very sexist (I'm guessing Dutch culture is very stuck in gender stereotypes). In actuality, it is males who are usually less Self-aware and willing to be introspective (Eckhart's teachings echo this on several occasions, where he says this out-loud many times). In fact, if the dialogue were reversed, the male ego would likely insult the woman and complain she is nagging, over-thinking, etc., but, in this script the males are portrayed as the 'philosophers' (a rank too high for females I presume!) to be listened to for their profound wisdom. The entire movie was about female insecurities as perceived from the male perspective, but minimizing the male egoic issues, which are actually more profound. The ending scene was quite insulting toward women, as men are extremely superficial and materialistic (again, men trying to heal the world through the projection of female problems they observe rather than observing their own: fear of unveiling imperfections and vulnerabilities the male suffers from). When watching this movie, remember that the roles are much easily reversed.
    The movie was otherwise well put together and the acting was terrific (though a bit strange what happened with the first guy/muppet while the other one remained continuing to talk with older people). The idea and overall message behind this movie is important in our globalized world right now, and helps to progress breaking from fear-based *choices* in every-day lives of all genders. Thank you everyone for putting it together. Peace.

      @carmenl163 6 лет назад

      Hahaha, I don't understand the law of attraction too, probably because it is a lot of BS. But in the movie. Yvonne says your thoughts will become reality if you focus on them, so you can attract anything you want in life. Suus says that's not true and gives some examples.

    • @lukofica
      @lukofica 5 лет назад

      You can manifest your thoughts into reality if you get rid of all your fears and worries you have about the dreams you want to create. You need to imagine that the things you want to make real are already real and feel the gratitude for their extistence. The key is act like it's already happening and your emotions about it will transform into reality. For example if you keep thinking about that you are going to get that job and feel it's yours already , and act like it's done and feel happy about it during the interview too, plus you don't let your fears into this imagination then the universe will send you what matches with your emotions and thoughts. But if your thoughts and emotions are not in balance, it's not working.
      So what you think and feel, you attract in your life!
