I have been cooking Thanksgiving dinner for probably at least 50 years. This year this 71 year old is taking a break. My husband, son and I will be ordering turkey and ham plates from Zippy’s. It’s nice that they do that for small families or maybe just an individual. But I always order our pies from Hawaiian Pie Co. on Dillingham Blvd. Thank you for the video.
Hope you found something at Target, but its okay to just walk & get your daily exercise, & compare prices……. Lots of folks are trying to make their Thanksgiving meals easier these days. I remember “a lifetime ago” when my Dad put the turkey on the rotisserie outside, & my gma would sit & watch it for him……..still can hear that motor turning for hrs. Mom would bake her tangerine meringue pies…….Bravo for those who still spend the day preparing a feast in their kitchens…….❤
$1.79 a pound isn't too bad for the Good & Gather frozen turkeys. Definitely the next couple weeks as we get closer to Thanksgiving would be a good idea to keep a watch on turkey prices. Some stores will also be putting turkeys on sale. Always good to do a price comparison on the basic turkey day essentials. We know Costco's Pumpkin Pies regardless of areas will always be $5.99 since that is a loss leader.
