Hi Albe, thanks for the video, it proved really useful for my 6000 km service just today. I have a 2022 AT standard, but I found a few differences: there are only 2 crank case breather hoses on mine, one on each side. The one on the left had a tiny bit of oil in it, the right one is dry. Also, the spark arrestors cannot be removed on my bike, there is a welded plate covering the 8mm bolts under the black metal cover on the exhaust pipe. Another difference is with the chain adjustment, it clearly states that the slack should be 48-53mm from the TOP of the swing arm, right above the rubber chain rest with an arrow on it. I’m not sure if the differences are due to different model year or the fact that I have a EU model, but I thought the viewers should know. Keep up the great work on your channel, thanks again!
There are 3 breather hoses - 2 clear ones up behind the radiators, and a black one by the tool kit. Honda changed the chain slack measuring for all models due to the swing arm obstructing the chain with original method.
Hello and thank you. For the tension of the chain, is it better to place it on the side stand like you or on the central stand or with a rider on the motorcycle? Thanks in advance .✌
Hi, it’s not a light, it’s a reminder on the screen when you first turn on the bike, but you are the one setting it up, it’s very easy to set up or change, no special tools just scroll the settings to the maintenance page and set the mileage or/the date 😀👍
@@AlbesADV great cheers. I hate it when you buy a bike and you have to take it to the dealer to get the lights turned off, and they see their ass cause you've serviced it yourself
The bike should be ok, the spark arrestor is used to prevent hot fuzz from exiting the exhaust and lighting the grass on fire when you go off-roading, but doesn't create much backpressure being just mesh wire
@@AlbesADV I don't do much off road stuff, I was going to, bikes to mint thou!!! To be fair, exhaust sounds great as it is!! I may try it just to see thou! 👍
Hello, do you know if the 2022 modo quick shifter is valid in the 2020 model? I understand that the price difference is only due to the gear lever that is incorporated in the 2020 mod. Thanks for your videos
Not really, I check the oil levels often, especially when there is a lot of oil on the breather tubes, but so far it was never low enough for me to add oil to it
Hi MAMS, it's the stock seat in the lower position, on top is a water filled cushion and I bought the Heed crashbars from their website but I believe they are available on ebay as well
Pizza Hawai listen, wanted ask. Does your Africa Twin eats engine oil? To me apparently yes some 0,5l in 1500km. Today at honda they told me that can digest even more till is properly riden some 10-15k km!!!

Thank you gor the info, I'm not sure either if it's because of the year model or region, but I'll pin your contact to the top 😀👍

Can confirm my 2024 AT Adventure Sports ES in the USA also says 48-53mm from the top side of the swing arm.
Thank you very much, so useful, I m upgrading to the twin this month...

Hello and thank you.

Thanks in advance .✌
Hi, the owners manual says to leave it on the side stand with no rider on it. 👍
@@AlbesADVMerci pour votre réponse 😉

Thank you, more to come 👍
Thanks albe, nice video 👍🏼
Do you have planned any new videos about the ducati scrambler?
Hi Timu, I don't for now, I gave the Scrambler to a friend
Nice video, clear description! Do you have any idea how to reset the “service indicator” on the dashboard without going to an official Honda-dealer?
Thanks Erik, You can reset the service indicator by going into the menu >Settings >Service >Maintenance
Should be as easy as that
Thanks! Didn’t expect it to be that easy…
Hi Albe, can you link the service manual that you use?
I went back to the website and it's not opening anymore 🤷
Hi do these africa twin have one of those annoying service lights that illuminate on the dash.

@nialbarnsley4108 I do too
Would the bike be ok without the spark arrestors in? Or cut short? I understand it sounds better! Does it affect back pressure do you know?

I believe it is, I seam to remember one of my subscribers told me he did it
@@AlbesADV perfect thanks soo much. Muchas gracias por tu ayuda.I order to webike 250 dollars
Hi my service book says to change the oil every year too though the 4K service doesn’t specify it
Hi Ken, The oil needs to be changed every 8000 miles or every 12 months whichever comes first. I hope this helps
@@AlbesADV thanks
Hi. do you add oil between services?
Not really, I check the oil levels often, especially when there is a lot of oil on the breather tubes, but so far it was never low enough for me to add oil to it
@@AlbesADV ok
Thanks Albe. Is the stock seat or low seat? And what is on top of the seat?
Where did you purchase heed crash bars?
Hi MAMS, it's the stock seat in the lower position, on top is a water filled cushion and I bought the Heed crashbars from their website but I believe they are available on ebay as well
@@AlbesADV Thank you Albe. Where you bought water filled cushion?
On Amazon but I can't remember the exact one

Today at honda they told me that can digest even more till is properly riden some 10-15k km!!!
My Africa Twin doesn't, 1/2 a lirer in 1500km seams a little much, I rode 3000 miles in 5 days and the oil level was ok
@@AlbesADV yep, in honda they told me today is normal, they said the limmit is upnto 0,8l per 1k km uff!!!
How have you liked that cushion on your seat?
It's OK, not the greatest but it does improve the comfort a bit, I'm thinking about putting a tappezzeria seat cover
Thank you for that video , and what to be careful of. :)
No problem, glad to be helpful
