The Victoria POPULE MEUS (as well as the TRISTIS EST ANIMA MEA) were part of the Good Friday "Three Hours Agony" that I remember singing when I was a baritone in my church choir. In the 1950's, I was a young lad of 10 and learning my catechism and preparing for my duties as an alter boy, like my 5 elder brothers. I remember several Sunday masses when Father Francis Missia celebrated High Masses. His booming baritone voice shook the walls of the huge sanctuary of the Church of St. Luke in St. Paul, Minnesota. Father Missia inspired me to join the choir as soon as I was in high school. (In the 50's, the choirmaster and organist was Leopold Bruenner [1869-1963]). I joined the choir under the leadership of Herm Sittard, a pupil of Dr. Bruenner. When Father Missia went to teach at the St. Paul Seminary, a recording was made of Christmas.hymns --one that I still have to this day. It has been a family tradition for almost 60 years.

Long shot, but by any chance do you have a recording of the St Paul Seminary choir singing the "Tu Es Sacerdos in Æternum"?
