You can fertilize the egg with end crystals, maybe Minecraft would make it so that the dragons can live on and you won’t have to kill the ender dragon if only this was the real lore

Note to self: after beating game, use ender crystals to hatch the egg and go back into the overworld, this way the Ender dragon is alive and you can also escape.

And inter dimensional travel using pearl statis is not possible
So only way out is dying in void

After the story one obsidian from the tower fell off on Jeans head making her forgot all other attacks and have terrible sense of combat.
( You know it's true so there is not much to say actually)
Now you are making me feel bad for finishing the game
So in theory, what were to happen if you killed the dragon collected the egg respawned the dragon then put the egg back after it was respawned?
(And furthermore lets say you have a pearl statis chamber and your friend activates it afterwards)

I believe in retrogamingnow's theory, so the endermen accidentally summoned the dragon while trying to make a new portal. The enderman came before the dragon.

I had almost the exact same theory except that the shulkers wiped out the dragons
I think that the Dragons originally came from a possible 4th dimension Considering the achievement "Free the end" could mean that the player frees the end from the invasive Dragon species. I also think the endermen and ancient builders built the end cities together to try to protect and themselves and fight against the Dragons

What actually happened is the ender man tried to make a bigger end portal so they made obsidian pillars and put end crystals on them. But by accident they summoned the ender dragon and they were trapped.

Then why's the achievement called *free* the end. Although you did say that the ancient builders could have interbreeded with the endermen so the ender-humans could be trapped by the enderdragon

The dragon's name is Carson and the endermen accidentally spawned it thinking it would make a portal. The dragon would die of old age then they harvest the heads and put them onto end ships in memory of the dragon bit the dragon always laid an egg that they couldn't destroy and it would hatch another dragon making an endless loop. That's why killing the dragon has the achievement name "free the end"

its so sad that if you enter the end you are stuck there, only killing the dragon can free you from the end, or if you have a enderchest then you can stash all your items and take a 1 way ticket to the overworld if you can respawn
