If he's not motivated by getting another opportunity to prove himself to NFL, he never will be. I hope he takes advantage of what has just been handed to him. GOIRISH!!
I was watching the 1500 live also last night, & with all the hype between the British guy, & the really obnoxious dude from the Netherlands, I was psyched when Hocker started his late push, but didn’t know Nuguse was pushing for Bronze. So close to silver! Congrats to both, & to you , your HS & Notre Dame Tyler!
How the 5 guy blend together is just as important as who they are individually! All are scholarships players and it should be expected that they can perform up to ND standards!
Howdy, Aggie fan here. I hate when guys get hurt, I feel bad for your left tackle. I can't wait for game 1 at Kyle, it will be an awesome atmosphere. If your tackles are suspect at all, watch out. This Aggie DL should be special, if what we're hearing is true. There will be 4 or 5 guys at DE that can get pressure against good tackles, and Scourton might be a game changer on the level of a Myles Garrett or Micah Parsons. We'll see. Overall, this Aggie team should be much better than recent years. Secondary, OL, QB, RB, LB, DL, TE... full of 4 and 5 star guys that are now finally being coached by competent, maybe elite, coaches. I'm hoping Ags show up with their A game.
Lifelong Notre Dame fan. Cannot wait for game 1 against your Aggies. Hopefully both teams stay injury free and we get a great game and atmosphere like I know we will.
I’ve seen this scenario play out before. You move the right tackle to left tackle and now you’re exposed at two positions instead of one. These are normally just short time fixes.
Every one of those coaches are more qualified than both you and I. We also don't see what they do in practice. Amil Wagner was pretty much given the starting RT position, so I don't know where you're getting the take 2 positions and change them. It's one position change by a guy who has already been in that position before backing up joe alt. Tosh Baker has also been there for 5 or 6 years. He will get better as the season goes as well. But physically and mentally he's the best guy. He's going to struggle against Scourton, everyone in the country would have a day with him.
great info .. offensive line play has always looked like mass confusion to me .. only thing I know with certainty is you can't be relevant without a good one
Doesn’t seem likely ND will get standout play from the LT spot this season. Can the offense function at a high level if Baker is only “avg” this season?
I know how you guys feel, seeing that you both are present during these practices and are expert at analyzing the tackle position. NOT! Let the coaches coach and wait for the results, then opine.
Your LT analysis is weak. Baker is the only option week 1. Also, the whole LT blind side stuff doesn't matter in the style of football played today.

Tosh is incapable of starting at any position. It never made sense that Jagusah would be at LT and Wagner at RT in the first place. They had that backwards. With the injury, it’s now worse. They’ll have a freshman at LT by week 3. And the defense better throw a shutout at A&M because Tosh can’t handle any of their pass rushers. It’s going to be ugly, so all they can do is chip with a TE and roll out to the right away from Toshs side. But this injury is disastrous, unfortunately.
It is definitely a concerning situation. If only Fisher had returned ... it would a totally different situation. But it is what it is. I love Wagner's athleticism. I love Lambert's ceiling. But getting it done in '24 -- ND needs guys like Baker to step up in a big way. I'd hate to see ND's season derailed out of the gate because the OL just wasn't able to withstand the TAMU front seven. But that is certainly possible. Get past those early weeks with some wins ... the sky is the limit. I genuinely believe that ND's final results in '24/'25 will come down to how well they can keep the OL together early. I like every other position group quite a bit. Fingers crossed!

He has started. You need to start the video again from the beginning. Listen carefully, instead of typing a response as soon as you hear the name "Tosh Baker."
Likewise for USC. Lost caleb Williams, and even if their defense is better, it's not going to drastic enough to keep them competitive. Florida state, Clemson, and a & m are our scare games. You guys will get manhandled in the big ten.
Notre Dame has been all talk for years now. Look great on paper but when it comes to the season they fold. They need to pick a conference and try to start winning already
If riley Leonard is as advertised, he's the perfect quarterback for the o line situation. The o line will struggle and deff against a and m. If our receivers are better, which I believe is the case, we are good. Riley will create more opportunities on short passes with his mobility. More opportunities and more athleticm
Tosh deserves this opportunity, he has been working his butt off for 5 years , good luck tosh we are behind you , go Irish ☘️
This is why depth and preserving character matters. You never know how injuries play out in football

Yeah injuries suck. It's fun to beat a team at their best. Two great teams facing off is great for the sport and I can't wait.

Oppossing D's would just load up the box and we still couldnt exploit it. Hopefully this will change this year
I might be wrong but I believe Tosh Baker was a O-Lineman for Spencer Rattler at Phoenix Pinnacle High School..
Doesn’t seem likely ND will get standout play from the LT spot this season. Can the offense function at a high level if Baker is only “avg” this season?
Lambert will be the starting LT this season at some point
That could be. Based on everything I've read, I still kind of expect Knapp to settle at OG at some point. Maybe later in his career.
Go Yared!!!
A few big injuries to the Irish make for a rough start to the season.
Time for Tosh.O.
Tosh doesn't have the feet to play left tackle. Big mistake
I agree
