This show is so amazing. At my workplace, Straight the Point gets played randomly and loudly. As a gay individual, Straight to the Point allows me to educate my straight colleagues who watch your show traditionally. Thank you so much. Y'all are doing a great job.
Cumon Halls! 🎉 I absolutely live for these podcasts, feels like I’m checking in with my girls. My BF even knows when I’m cooking weekends for us that I check in with “my girls”. Ngl, being a high school teacher for 10 years has made me so sensitive and understanding to trans and lgbtqia+ life and I can’t help but support my students and their voices and I will always advocate for the youth wherever I teach at. I mean, my principal and deputy are in the community and I don’t see them as anything more than professional but also fabulous ❤
Yo mad,you sad...you can never!!!! 😅😅😅😅😅 😂😂😂😂 Love Chanelley!!!loved the conversation and stories today, so refreshing. And side note by "fighting" they do mean that your voice and presence has power to change a situation. You can advocate for the queer community and for everybody. Thank you all for coming to our TedTalkXCapeTown lol.
Honestly todays topic really made me think different about what an ally is. I once had a colleague that called herself an ally but felt okay calling me a moffie cause her other queer friends are okay with it but I wasn't okay and I think I did a disservice to her and myself not saying anything
Me drinking a black label while watching this is a fantasy. This topic of allyship needs to be a town hall discussion at Honey&Dora. Allys are there for the glitter and the blood, they make space for rainbow individuals and they are in the trenches with us. P.S: Jy gaanie se jy is n ally en gooi moffie around nie, it is not for you. P.S Chenal and Miss Cedrick we doing shots again, Maxine i missed you DONO weekend.
as a Queer individual, i struggle with bathrooms within public spaces and clubs. some of us feel very judged and some of us are also threatened not to use the female bathroom.
No my friend! I will always be that friend in chilli bar being the protective girl and so accommodating. In my mind I’m throwing hands but physically we keep it subtle and subdue for comfortability. ❤
Now I know I'm a full on Ally... I love queer ppl because they say it like it is whether you like it or not, facts is facts! That is y I enjoy being in their company... There are some that is very agteraf but that's where u as the friend tell that person to stop being agteraf... But anyway I always stand up for my queer ppl just love y'all ❤
I love use and the fact that you are your authentic selves and I love pride carnival in cpt it needs to be more days and not just a wknd We are a rainbow nation as South Africans so every1 can just get with the program already Let people be themselves and the world will be a better place ❤
lol I get what you all are saying by wanting to be treated as a normal person in society. but I use my gay privileges from time to time😂 example would be I don't want to push a car or carry the beer, im gay😂 and my straight friends just do it for me. im living for the privileges 🤣
Of coz women would feel uncomfortable with a trans sharing the same bathroom!!!! They are still bio men in the end of the day...At least that should be respected?
