Kudos to their choreographer, Hwang Sooyeon. She's very talented.
I got to see them live last week, and they were flipping awesome. The woman in black hair and black outfit is the leader Jiu, and she was very good at working the crowd, but they all have great stage presence. They also do a lot of fun freestyling on songs where they dont have full choreo.
Amazing!!!!! Can’t imagine how hyped the crowd must have been!!
Jiu charisma rabbit! So selfless, she always lets other members shine, the quintessential leader
Yaaayyy Dreamcatcher 💜💜
Dreamcatcher is amazing! Their choreographies are always so fun to watch as a fan; it would be awesome to hear more of your perspective as a professional. This was really fun to watch.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Boca means "mouth" in Spanish and Portuguese and is part 2 of the Dystopia trilogy, which deals with bullying and hate comments, in particular the online variant ("A trick behind a mask, a ridiculous freak" from Scream). Boca has the lines "Why do you fill your precious time with hate" and "Too many angels dying now", which points to the effects those comments can have. Several Kpop idols have committed suicide in recent years, most likely because of cyber-bullying, but this is also about all the unnamed people who suffer from online bullies. A girlgroup tackling such a subject impresses the hell out of me. They literally go to war in this video and tell haters to go and shut their "Boca" in the lyrics. And the song is absolutely awesome! Who said you can't have three different musical genres in one song?
Yeahh \m/Dreamcatcher
dreamcatcher \:D/
That's my bias Jiu getting the love she deserves!
Jiu is often described as elegant, especially by the other members of Dreamcatcher who are in awe of the way she moves. They gave her the nickname The Daejeon Hurricane. She comes from the South Korean city of Daejeon.
The great strength of the mirror dance, the Kpop training method, is that dancers know exactly what every movement looks like to viewers and they can fine tune even the smallest aspect of their dance until it's perfect, and do it in sync with the other dancers.
What a great fact! Thank you!
When I look at JiU’s style of movement compared to many other dancers I think of the difference between a model’s walk on a runway compared to someone walking down a sidewalk.
1:26 IS SO COOL
Hwang Sooyeon is responsible for a lot of DC's choreography. It's not hard to find video classes from her online for several songs including BOCA. There's some at edkpop.
The girl in black is Dreamcatcher's leader...
So glad to see you loving Dreamcatcher’a unique style. Maison dance practice I highly recommend next - the song very much feels like a cry to battle and the choreography reflects that battle aesthetic!
Added to the list!
Not surprised that Jiu(dressed black) can hold her own. She’s trained the longest and is leader of the group. She’s a strong and serious dancer but she’s soft and sweet personally as well 😅
Sua is the one who trained the longest.
@@kcvampire actually you are right. Sua did 5 compared to Jius 2. I think she just has a stronger lower body and control that makes certain parts of her choreography stand out.
Dancer/choreographer reactions to DC are my favorite! I love dance and you always pick up on something I’d never know!
The girl in the black top is JiU, she’s the leader and one of the lead dancers! The other is Dami, the deep-voiced rapper, and the main dancer is Sua, the girl in the red top. Sua also does some choreography for their special clips and organizes all the relay dances, so those may be fun to react to as well, since you get a bit more of a close-up on each member individually.
Some of their other top choreos:
Chase Me (debut song and hardest choreo until Maison)
Maison (newest title track)
Odd Eye (lots of imagery and power moves)
BEcause (lots of detailed synchronicity and doll-like vibes)
You and I (prop use!!!)
Red Sun (Sua choreo)
Come a Come (this is a cover song but still fantastic and REALLY relies on precise movements; there is a dance practice but the k-choreo performance video has a great view and also shows how professionally they deal with a few hazards, like a mask falling on stage and one of the member’s mic packs coming loose)
Ahhh come a come sounds really interesting to watch!! Thanks for this list! I’ll add them!
For this choreo Dreamcatcher made an other video with position changes, that is so much fun.
Part Switch, yes! Heh it's fun to see their interpretation of each other's manerisms.
I'm glad you took our suggestions and took a look at their dance practices: they'll be much more suited to your analyses. Boca is about middling for their choreo in terms of the energy needed, if I understand correctly. It's their debut song, Chase Me that they still site as the most demanding - it's ridiculously hard hitting and non-stop, and, yes, a rock song.
I'm seeing them tomorrow: so psyched!
Thanks for reacting to this! It’s one of their best dances imo! The girl in black is Ji U, the leader of the group 😍
Amazing reaction, thank you for doing this! Boca has a pretty unique choreography in my opinion, there a plenty of other songs that are as powerful or more powerful than Boca. Some of the songs are also choreographed by their main dancer Sua!
Black wear girl is Dreamcatcher Reader " Ji - U "
Well...
Hwang Sooyeon official choreographer and Kim Bora (SUA) (DC member) Red Sun,Copycat, Havana and more and
Kim Kiyeon choreographer, Kang Riye also choreographer
4:25 crossing the flags with white sweatpants and red top is SUA main dancer...
They sing live
loved the reaction :)
to get an overview of what they can do... i would recommend:
Dreamcatcher - Red Sun (Dance Practice)
Dreamcatcher - Good night (Dance Practice)
Dreamcatcher - Dance Practice 01
Dreamcatcher - Wind Blows (Dance Practice)
the one with black outfit is JiU, one of 2 lead dancers in the group. yes I agree, she's best in elegant style of dance.
the rap part that you said masculine choreography is Dami, another lead dancer. yes she's more into masculine vibe, her rap voice, her dance style, even hairstyle (so far she's the one who had the shortest hair in the group back in early 2019.
the one with dark orange top at the center of ending pose is SuA, main dancer. she choreographed some of their songs and covers. main role is the highest hierarchy, so that means she's the best one in group. but her ability that seems really great compared to others are her sharp move, sexy move, and intense fast movement.
the one with all white is Yoohyeon, she doesn't have role in dancer but hee body line really showing her really good in shaping and angles.
the one with yellow-orange on far right side in ending pose is Siyeon, main vocalist. she actually struggled to dance the chorus part, so in 1st and 2nd chorus she just get elegant move as center and stand still on 3rd chorus using her high note belters as the reason of her not doing the same like others.
the pink hair one is Gahyeon, the youngest. the missing one is Handong (was in China). both of them mayve the bottom 2 in dancing, but not in bad level. they actually good enough and keep being better and more confident in dancing.
I'm not a dancer either, but it's obviously seen that they each have different power that complete each other. also rock still seems "easier" to have choreography than metal. and they have it for metal too, in their Japanese song titled Endless Night. it's more unexpected to have choreography compared to this.
A Japanese song! Would love to hear that!
Thanks for this low down- it’s nice getting to know the members!
@@xiaouiris btw sorry for some typos lmao. I just realised after the comment already posted.
I think Endless Night is the only one metal genre they have with choreo, others still in rock or even non-rock (for non title tracks) genre. also that song have intense double pedal in outro that even I don't find any full drum cover for that song. that's why I said metal genre is (way) harder to have choreography, compared to rock.

also I'm curious what's your preference on dancing, maybe you'll like specific member for that reasons, based on what I explained above
@@faizalaziz4796 I don’t really have a preference but I like detailed choreography- where the movements are really small but sharp!
In with another WIND BLOWS recommend 👀👀👀👀👀👀
I love these girls. You should check out their song Piri. Really cool intro in this layman's opinion haha.
On spot perfect reaction to an awesome group! Also,I can't tell if the sun is shining on you or you are shining on the sun! 🤗
Let’s go with I’m shining on the sun 😜
@@xiaouiris lucky Sun!😒(my jealousy speaking)
@@osirisdick4097 😂💖
Loved your reaction, please check out more of Dreamcatcher they are really and truly amazing and so talented.
Maison dance practice next wind blows and black or white too!!
Welcome back! I’m so happy to hear that you’ve been doing your research on them. Love seeing new people dive deep into DC! I’ll be seeing them live this Saturday and Sunday, can’t wait!!
Are you actually!!! I bet it’ll be INSANE!! Let me know how it goes!
If you want to see them dance to full metal instrumentation, try Endless Night. Be careful though, Ponycanyon might block your reaction
