Hey man, if you need bearings. Just contact SKF, their site has a tool so you can find any bearing you might need. You should be able to find dust and waterproof ones there (maintenance free). Greetings from an engineering student 😉
Super cool that you’re doing this yourself. I feel like we’re all gaining an appreciation for what really goes into a mower by watching this transformation. Keep up the good content!
Whenever I need to sit or especially kneel on the floor to do something, I grab one of those rubbery foam camp pads, about 3/4 inch thick, and use that. I have one that I've cut in half just for this purpose. Your knees will thank you later.
First Aussie😁😁👍Can’t wait to see what damage that heavy machine will do to your pristine yard when turning.🧐and possible compaction problems. Great video Connor ,your persistence and patience will pay off in the long run.
Any plans to name this unit when finished....if so here are a few of my favs- “Red Rebel” “Tri-Rebel” “The Red Bearing” “Low Mow 4 Life” “Gas Splasher” “Mowstache Ride”
Is the handle on that hammer too long for you? What are you swinging, a purse lol. Loving to off season vids. Looking good. Can’t wait to see those reels in action
@@lawnrebel it's great. Even thought I have a 4 car garage I built a large shed ran some electrical burial wire, and it basically became my workshop. Don't have to worry about making a mess. Take the blower out and it's gone in minutes. There's acre lots here and my shed sits in the middle. So I can even work in the middle of the night without disturbing anyone. It's nice having an open garage and get to your car without tip toeing around everything. Build it! You'll thank yourself you did. Go as big as you can because trust me, you'll wish you did later. I build a custom fancy 20x16 shed that would have cost $17,000. Did it myself for $5,000. Complete with a dormer, a concrete foundation with ramp for my mower. My neighbors dubbed it "the little house". Lol. I don't think many sheds have French doors lol. It looks more like a pool house lol.
@@lawnrebel Ok that's a steal, despite the work that it needs. The least expensive one near me that I could find was 5k. On the bright side, your unit is allowing you to pump out some good content on here. lol
After you got done torching it and you started beating it with the hammer and chisel, the ONLY thing I could think of was this scene: ruclips.net/video/H2uHBhKTSe0/видео.html
Lol maintenance was beyond neglected on this machine. It is clear that all they did was get on her and ride her til she was broke. Hopefully they did oil changes, if not you should request a refund.🤣🤣
This is what I call a dirty first. Brett can suck it.
You suck!
Brett's grasscapades
😂😂😂

yeah I am so glad that I am doing it myself. It is way more fulfilling and it also gives me a way better understanding on how and why it works.
Connor you will made it all ready before the grass starts to grow I believe in you...👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Builds a workbench.....still sits on the floor 😂😂😂
I like the floor.
Coming along great, we’re here for ya Connor!! Thanks for the update!
Best video I’ve seen all day and it just came out 30 seconds ago
The time you put into working on this and putting together the video plus family, very impressive time management.
ha ha.. yeah you would know. I love to hear this kind of comment from people who make vids.
"burned my dead cat" that's what she said
Took the words out my mouth 😂😂
You wait PAL... you day will come.
🤣🤣🤣
So excited to see that triplex in action!!
I could not agree more.
Connor Ward
You’ve got to be chomping at the bit!
Next video: how to sharpen a chisel. haha...we've all been there. Enjoying the series so far Connor.
Ha ha. Only thing I had with a fine enough tip
Can't wait to see your first cut with that beast!
I agree. Me as well.
Slowly but surely it's coming along. 👍
SLOWLY is the correct term on that one.

Can’t wait to see that thing mow
Me too
That Connor ward is fast at the comments
A sand blaster would help you so much on this project
I sooooo agree. Really wish I had one
$150 at harbor freight bro. Get one.
@@alcredeur Pretty cheap, but you'd also need a large air compressor if you don't already have one.
I do have a compressor... I would not consider it to be "large."

First world problems?
That machine is about 1860 lbs Connor, are you intending to use this as your main mower ? Or some other purpose.
Whatever the heck I want
Ok Connor, sounds like a plan. Can’t wait to see your finished product, you are doing a great job restoring that machine.👍👍
Not the chisel 😭😭
This Toro must have spent most of its life at a golf course that was slowly going out of business.
Thumbs up bud!!
Thanks for the video sir!
Thanks for watching.
You need Harbor Freight sandblaster to remove rust.

not sure yet
Real rebels use a flame thrower on cardboard in his garage! 🤘🏻
Yeah a little bit of smoke never hurt anyone.
How did you take out the middle piece, the bar with the zerc fitting
Dirty first... take that Mr. Ward.
Not allowed
You can’t tell me.
Can too.
second
Looks like Ronny won this round.

LOL. Yeah it appears to be too long for me. Good catch on that one. This comment made my day so far.
Oh man a dirty first is brutal.
you can get propane cans that heat up better than that camping one you have there
yeah I know. I mainly just use that torch to start my wood stove.
The Subscriber Gods shall smile down upon your sacrifice of a dead cat.
Brady still smells bad tho.
lol that is a dirty first...
What else do you expect from that moustache twirling mountain man 🧐
Is it going to be ready for spring?
dont kid yourself. I am still like 2 months away. Still very cold here. Lots of snow still.
Connor Ward I live in Missouri. We are having the 10th snowiest year ever. I love the snow but we have had lots of ice too and that sucks.
which spring? 2019 is a maybe but 2020 is looking good:)
Pro Tip: Torch on a cardboard mat for maximum safety
Exactly
Is that a wood chisel?
Think so. Not really sure
Not anymore! 😂
The painter has the john deere for a month!!! whats his name Michelangelo ?
He's busy. He has a day job and paints in his shop on the side. He has several projects in front of me
@@lawnrebel fair do's you've enough on with those cutting units to keep you busy.
Ohhhh yeah
Next your gonna have to build a shed to put all this crap in lol.
yeah no kidding. That has been on my mind for years. I would love to try to make that happen this fall of 2019. Maybe

Man your really a revel. Burning your mic. Nice video!

Regrets?
👿
I sure hope you didn't pay a whole bunch for that unit. Tons of work going into it.
I did get it for cheap... but not cheap enough.
@@lawnrebel how much did you pay for it, if you don't mind me asking? I'm looking at a John Deere fairway mower near me that's used.
I mind
1250
