Top Flite P-47 Thunderbolt (60-Gold Edition), Kit Rescue Primer Maiden

This is a Top Flite P-47 60 Gold Edition Kit airframe which was an unfinished swap meet find. Exactly two month's of nearly daily work was required to repair and finish the airframe, which was also converted to electric power.
The Primer Maiden ("Praiden") Flight was nearly perfect until I touched down a foot short of the runway and snapped off one strut. Amazingly, only the left wingtip was scraped a bit and the cowl mount blocks came loose.
Repairs were made same-day, including replacing the inadequate struts (FMS 1500mm P-47 foamie) with E-Flite 60-120 struts.
The plan is to test fly a few more times before painting and detailing.
Fun fact: the actual P-47 which I will represent also had a wheels-up landing, after which it was overhauled and sent to a different squadron.
