If you are asking what should I put in the recycler or what is the best thing to put in the recycler, then this video will be perfect for you. It also explains everything about the Recycler. Update 1.8.2 is tricky. Don't go at it at face value!!

Also, broken guns will not give loot but you can use them to level up before putting in better firearms

Don't recycle the truck saw blades. Instead you can use them to upgrade the sawblade maces and they're hard to find.

I get them every second or third location. Even started to just leave them behind... Glad to know they are somewhat valuable

I started with batteries. Have like 300. Getting a decent amount of copper bars from them as well. Will do watches next. Only have about 150 of those. But ya totaly stoked about this recycler. To bad can only have one. Took several hours just to do 1 stack of batteries.

I recycled 5 pistols so far, it was saying there is a chance 80% for each of them to give a spring. Out of 5 pistols i took 1 spring and that is all. As a reminder, in order to make one simple glock pistol in this game you need 8 springs, along with a bunch of other stuff...
You recycled broken glock
Put them in with durability that's not in red
Each used up glock gives you at least one spring … none ends with 0. But you need proper level!

getting the electronics section leveled up was easy because early game and now i basically saved anything that seemed a bit valuable later on and when i finally got the recycler i had like 40 watches and 30 cell phones ready to be recycled.

I've been playing around for awhile now even before this update came out and I was able to make at least 6 Steel bars at level 25 at like a 6 or 8 percent chance of getting those bars and I got those all back to back however I think I might have jinxed myself while trying to go for some aluminum because now when I input any kind of items in there I don't get those items like I used to when I first started the recycler but in my personal opinion I think that you should start on the odd category itself and that is mainly due to the fact that you get most of the stuff that you can get from just about anywhere including all the easy green sections of the forest and mining sections but of course the downside to this is that it takes a long time to build up your odd however it will pay off in dividends once you get it so high that when you start recycling all your bean cans the higher chance you'll get that aluminum which you normally get free from time to time
When you start you will get zero rare items … even at max it takes 15 gas masks or mobiles to get one circuit or folter out of them.

Kefir blows at fine tuning their programming.
You never get blueprints from the recycler, even @ high levels.
You also have no chance of getting many parts needed for the gun mods.
They really need a project manager who knows how to do their job. (imo)

I am so fucking proud to have stored 47 empty food cans, 6 truck wheels and a truck saw blade, and a bunch of nearly broken weapons and gear (including swat team gear, M16s, a minigun, some glocks, and a Ventorez)
All at level 40.
So what are the top 10 items to recycle for when you first build a recycler? Sortof didn't get any answers from this vid because you're saying to wait till the recycler is level 30 before recycling certain items.

Wrench’s give 5% for steel on lvl1. build up other, cans and furniture in the recycler, not sure what else can build other haven’t experimented much with it mostly focusing on electronics

Guys you should start stacking these for after update 1.9 :
Gold - we will be able to trade the gold to coins in the suburbs event/zone (probably)
Radio Dash/Transmitter - these will be extreamly rare after update 1.9 they may become as rare as the gas tank
Steel - this will probably be required to craft the radio tower of course along with titan bars, and to cut down ash trees, of course Kefir will implement a new type of hatched like he did for oak, so there will be , stone hatchet / iron hatchet / steel hatchet makes sense
Armor and Med kits - the swamp zones will probably be really hard harder than any red zone we know and we probably will be moving at a low speed and will always take damage we will always need swat to go that zone, there will probably be zombies who can do high damages like the frenzied giants.
Guns - its obvious why we need guns, and these swamp zombies will probably have defence like hard mode zombies in Bunker alfa.
Bunker F CAC cards - why Bunker F, do you guys remember when Kefir posted the sneak peaks of bunker F being at the top of the frosty zones, I'm sure when we unlock the watch tower for the swamp bunker F will also be unlocked,
Snorkel masks - we will need them to swim to bunker Charlie also stack bunker C CAC cards as well
Electronics - guys I know now it's enjoyable to disassemble thing with the recycler but I think we should stash these for the electronics lab which will guarantee 1 electronic cuircit for each mobile phone which is better than 2 for 20 phones.

Isn't it better to use the signal amplifiers and the satilite dish’s sence it gives much more exp. till the higher levels then use the stackables electronics like USB keys ?

I've been recycling a lot of stuff but I haven't gotten anything from recycling a clock and a broken swat vest and I havent gotten nothing is this a glitch?

Curious where does your recyclable outcome goes!!? I’ve dropped some stuff in but don’t see where the base (recycled) materials goes.
Because when you start you initially get nothing! It appears where you see what potential outcome will be!

I actually found it twice in a green or a yellow zone
It like you may get it in 6 turns to the red forest as far as I have seen and 7-8 turns in yellow zone but still it's as per your luck. You may get 1 and another the next time you visit a zone or you maybe unlucky as hell and never get one for even 20 visits to zones

I’ve been putting lights bulbs to start since you only get scrap metal for them, it’s great to put in over night while you sleep since it takes 10 hours to go through the stack. Melee weapons seem to take a long time to upgrade most of the items only give a little xp katana give steel but saving em. Been waiting for something like this my base is full of junk ready to get recycled. Any idea what the other category is? I’m assuming furniture but I have not tried yet
Will recycle 20 times, timer will reset after each one. I went through a stack of bulbs and went to lvl 7 over night another stack took me to 11 I think. Been using satellite dishes when I play since you don’t get good items when you recycle them but good xp. Saving other electronic items for when it’s level up higher.
Whoops I recycled all my phones and usb drives early without knowing... I had probably a stack or 2 of phones and 10 usb drives or so and I have still only ONE electronic circuit from it....

I put atv wheel in there and there is a 5% chance of getting steel and now i got 3 enough to make a millitary backpack and im only lv 6 on tha category.Idk that might just be luck
