    From my point of view, Scoob's wave was 1st place. Not only because of the wave, but he drops the entire wave, vertically, to its bottom, before exiting it. But all these guys are true heroes. I live in Leiria, about 20 minutes by car from Nazaré, and could see it in person a few times. But even on RUclips, I'm still scared every time I see them. Wonderful video, no music, no slow-mo, nothing. Just the waves and the insane folks who are crazy enough to drop these monsters.

    It's scary enough thinking of this as a surf competition, but when you think of it in the sheer power that the oceans have is insane. Who saw this for the first time and thought...."I'm gonna go on a wooden plank and ride that mf". Respect.

    Very cool! Skills! I have never surfed, but yeah that looked close... Must been awesome. Just looking and experience the gravity of a wave, etc.. Looked clean. I mean this must be way more fun the snowboarding and skateboarding. adrenaline "junkies" right there. High on life.

    I had a dream last night, I remember I was at a hotel, the restaurant was on a balcony with a view of the beach(like 50 meters distance between the sea and the balcony-restaurant) and similar monster waves just kept coming, one so big some of the water got to the balcony! It was fascinating ahahaha

    Those aren't waves. Those are moving mountains of water. Holy crap. That has to be beyond frightening, being on the face of one of those. I expect that is true even when you know what you are doing at world class level, that and exhilarating as hell.

    • @barenafilmsport
      @barenafilmsport Год назад

      True man, being in the water is SICK! Just being sitting in the jetski, ones the wave pass under you the perspective changes so much! Is like being in the base of a mountain to watching the landscape from top of a mountain hahah
