Japan is a top 5 economy in the world and has been the source of many innovations, especially in the tech and automotive industry, same goes for Korea. These societies definitely have issues especially with lack of work life balance and strict societal expectations causing low birth rates and high suicide rates but I think his argument is pretty weak. I’m not pro ethnostate at all, but states such as the Nordic states are extremely non diverse but they have very successful governments and economies so I think his argument is pretty easy to counter. I think personally having a society that absorbs talent from every corner of the world will help in the aid of producing new innovations but also with differences comes conflict and people treating each other poorly because they don’t get along or their views don’t align. But I think ethnic diversity is not a requirement for a successful country or economy. It can aid in building a successful economy or nation but there have been plenty of successful nations without it.

Interesting as usual, there are different point of views about immigration. I do believe that America got successful at some point because of the multiculturalism but it is at the same time a double edged sword that can lead to some sort of failure at times.
