  • Interviewed by TíoLouie at PRIME LATINO MEDIA Salón, Sunny Hostin is most recognized as co-host on ABC’s morning talk show THE VIEW for four years as well as the Senior Legal Correspondent and Analyst for ABC News. She was featured in a live PRIME LATINO MEDIA Salón program exclusively devoted to independent Latinas in media and entertainment. entitled, CELEBRATING WOMEN IN LATINO ARTS. In her interview she cited that she is a member of the Board of Directors of Safe Horizon since 2017, the largest non-profit victim services agency in the United States who touch the lives of more than 250,000 children, adults, and families affected by crime and abuse throughout New York City each year. She has said proudly that in being affiliated with this formidable organization she has “seen first-hand Safe Horizon’s commitment to serving victims and I take pride in knowing that my support allows them to serve more abuse victims every day. Through hotlines, child advocacy centers, domestic violence shelters, youth drop-in centers, and many other programs, Safe Horizon changes lives.” She began her career as a law clerk to retired Chief Judge of the Maryland Court of Appeals, Robert M. Bell and later became a trial attorney in the U.S. Department of Justice’s Antitrust Division. Hostin left the Antitrust Division to become a federal prosecutor, specializing in child sex crimes. She was awarded a Special Achievement Award for her successful prosecution of sex offenders.
    Asunción Cummings Hostin, known professionally as Sunny Hostin, is a U.S. lawyer, columnist, journalist, and television host. Sunny was born in New York City to a Puerto Rican mother, Rosa Beza, and an African-American father, William Cummings and proudly hails from the South Bronx. She is fluently bilingual in English and Spanish. She previously worked at Fox News program, “The O’Reilly Factor” where she appeared on the show's "Is It Legal?" segments, regularly debating with Bill O’Reilly and Megyn Kelly.
    PRIME LATINO MEDIA, founded in 2012 is the largest network spanning the East Coast to the Caribbean of independent Latino multimedia-makers, actors and musicians in bilingual Latino and mainstream media, digital and entertainment. There are monthly networking events, PRIME LATINO MEDIA Salón that feature live interviews with a multimedia-maker, actor and concludes the program with an interview of a musician who ends the program with an acoustic performance.
