Great video thank you. I have a question, when you hold the 2 buttons down to get into the settings menu. Great video as just finished my build with no instructions so this was a real help👍 I took my 48v 1000w today for the first time and rode up a lot of hills and the battery showed full and then the display went blank and had to ride it home and put the charger on then burst back into life with the battery reading full and only took a hour to charge again on a 2amp charger so pretty sure the battery is ok, if anybody has a idea of what happened then pls let me know.. thanks
I largely have/had the same problem. I still don’t know the exact culprit, but my best guess, at least on my version of the SW900, is that there is no current limiting in place, which then allows the throttle to ask for huge amounts of power and triggers the battery over-current protection. My work around is kind of shoddy, but if the battery thinks it’s been disconnected (with a hefty switch on the negative line for example) then it allows you to power up the bike again (i.e. hardwire an easily accesible on/off switch). Additionally, if you go to p15 (low voltage limit on my version) and set it artificially high (51.5v on my setup at full charge), it allows you to use the full range of the throttle without cutoff. The only problems with my work arounds are 1) the switch adds resistance, which contributes to the problem, and 48v dc rated switches up to 30a are basically non-existent (a good, properly rated 48v 30a relay negates this problem - just be sure the power line contacts have extremely low resistance! Like 20 mΩ) and 2) you have to drop the p15 lower voltage limit incrementally as the battery becomes depleted in order to keep getting the same range of power. Edit if anyone reads this - added a resistor (130 ohms I think?) on the red line of the throttle. No longer have to re-range the low voltage cutoff, and it doesn’t clap out anymore, though the trade off is the acceleration feels very anemic. It’s as permanent a fix as I’ve had thus far, and yes, a more powerful battery is what’s truly missing - my battery turned out to have a 25a BMS cutoff.. but was advertized as 30..
Wonderful video. You know I read the manual and it was confusing. Your video has made everything simple. Thank you! If I set P05 to 2 and there are 9 grades of pedal assist, does that mean I will not have to pedal like a maniac to keep up with the PAS level?
Hi very good clear video. I took my bike out in the rain and it has shut off & the display on screen says 03 info. I can't get the bike to go, can you help me out with some advice please. Many thanks
I think you will need to bring the bike into your local ebike shop to trouble shoot it. It can be a problem with either the display itself or possibly the controller. The only way is to test it by testing it with new parts to determine which part has failed
I bought a 52 volt battery to run a mtx2000 rear hub motor, which can only do 35 mph. On the display there isn't a 52 volt option, so run the bike on 48 volts. Is there a way to cherry pick 52 volts, on the display.

Hi, it’s been a 1 year and wanted to know your experience updated upon your SW900 LCD Display. I have ordered 2 ebike 12000w with the SW900 LCD Display. I herd there’s a new model ukc1 led color display that just came out not to long ago. But yeah I seen good and bad reviews of sw900, what’s your experience feedback on it ? Is it all weather proof ?
What kind of electrical quick disconnect will work best for the wire from the controller to the screen? I want to be able to take the screen off the bike quickly.
Hi! My 48V wheel works perfect with this display but I only have one problem, the display is not showing the real battery level. I mesure time to time the battery voltage with the multimeter but the screen is not showing the real battery level. Do you know if there is any reason for that? Thank you for the video!
Hello Carlos. The SW900 display has a factory setting in which it will read 5 bars when the battery voltage is 50-54 volts and 4 bars when the battery voltage is 48-50 volts. The only way to know exactly how much of the battery is left is to press the "M" button to switch to see the voltage reading on the display. Hope this helps!
hall sensors of the brakes are connected to the controller, but do not work does not generate the energy, how to turn on. from the display is there any setting and which one is in row p17
SO I've been having an issue with my E-bike, my motor is rated at 1,500 watts but for some reason I'm limited to like 650 Watts, I increased the voltage all the up to 72 volts and I hardly see much of a change, just higher power consumption without the power output. I got a new battery that was rated for 1,500 watts and I know my motor can put out that kind of power for sure because it's done it before. All of the sudden I get this new battery, I paid a fortune for that even have LG Cells in it all of the sudden will not allow me to exceed 650watts and I don't understand it. Either there's something wrong with my Sw900 because that's new too, or the battery and I really don't want it to be the battery knowing how expensive these packs are!
Not all sw900 displays go upto p18 it depends on how new it is. I got mine only last year but mine only goes upto 16. P09 is if u want the throttle to kick in right away or not. It comes set not to and u have to pedal a bit b4 u can use throttle they do this as a safety feature so u dont accidentally twist the throttle when your bike is stationary and go flying into a wall or something lol which I actually did when I set it to throttle start rite away. Its Verrrry sensitive and I caught it by accident and the bike went flying with me holding onto it. P14 is the amp limiting of your controller. If you dont know abt electrics just leave it at the default setting but basically it limits your controllers amps to stop it overheating or potentially getting too hot and burning out which could damage or ruin it
I got the sw900 display and when i put together with my bafang motor (350w) 36vdc, a proper controller with wires / plugs that mach with motor, control and display(sw900) and battery but it just don´t do anything... It ligth up, and I set the right settings on the display but the motor don´t spin... ps: I got the proper controller for this display (sw900) the only difference from the other controllers is that it din´t came with self learning wires.
Does anyone know how to reset your miles? I had mine return to zero on a ride one day and wonder if I pressed the wrong button or something. When I reach 10k miles, I would like to reset it to zero again. Does the factory reset change the miles back to zero?
@@jourdan2047 Mine did not go up to 18 either. I did however figure out how to reset the miles without doing a complete reset. On mine it is P09. It will also show the miles you have so you can just look for it. Example: If you have 2900 miles, just cycle through until you find 2900 [mine it was P09] Once you are on P09, just hold the top button and it will reset the odometer to zero.
Hello. You can do the following steps to troubleshoot your display. First check to make sure all the wires are connected properly. Then turn on the bike to see if this fixes it. If this does not work - unplug all connection wires going into the display. You will see in that inside the connector there are 5 wire "pins" - check to see if one of those 5 pins are bent, damaged or missing.
Hello. the product manual states the following for P07 - "Speed measuring magnet, ranges from 1 to 100. For the Trio it is set at factory for500 watt motor, do not change this."
@@epiccycles9 Hello, yes. Р 07 is the number of magnets in the wheel motor, and this item cannot be changed. if you change it, then the speed of the bike will lie. if, however, you have changed this item, then you need to remove the engine cover and count the magnets and write it down. and also apply a sealant to the contour of the lid so that water and dirt do not get inside.and in the bearings, change the HT-2 type lubricant

My throttle is verry responsive but the peddle assist takes 3hole peddles before the miter starts to assist. Do you know how I can get the miter to assist as soon as I pedal
Yes, trying changing the pedal assist sensitivity level which is P11 on the display settings. It ranges from 1-24 but the higher you set it the more responsive the PAS should be and kick in sooner
Throttle problem. Until you check the wiring and if the bikes not working and you have (pedal assist) . Just go into your settings P10 and disable throttle by selecting 0 mode which uses PAS only. I had ERROR 7 motor error and from everything I read was hall sensors problem so I went ahead and changed them. I still had error 7. Turned out was only a wiring problem so just check your connections and in my case the motor wire was rubbing against the frame and wore through 2 wires cutting them in half.

@EpicCycles i don’t have a “P-18” on my senada saber pro sw900 screen
How do you reset the miles back to 0. I can't figure out how to keep total miles, but reset for each time I've biked.
Hold up button on p16
What kind of electrical quick disconnect will work best for the wire from the controller to the screen? I want to be able to take the screen off the bike quickly.
4e
Will this work for a 12 inch bike wheel?
No
my PAS 1 and PAS 5 are the self POWER. wath can i do?
1 only pedal
2 is both pedal and electric
3 is electric low power
4 electric medium
5 electric is more power
Thank you for your answer but it's not right. I mean pas1 to pas5 at the +- schwitch. 1 is Eco 5 is Power. But all have self Power.
Did you solve it? I have the same Problem, full power 1-5 no matter the setting.
I would like to know the low speed in what number and height speed in what number. Thanks
Thanks mate.
Do you have any idea about what the error codes are? Like error 7?
hall sensors of the brakes are connected to the controller, but do not work does not generate the energy, how to turn on.
from the display is there any setting and which one is in row p17
Hello. Please give us a call or send us an email at info@epiccycles.ca and one of our mechanics will be happy to assist.
How does one put travel time on the display?
Is it possible to raise the 41kmh limit?
For some reason P5 won't let me change it so i'm locked at 5 step PA. Sucks cause i wanted to change it to 3.
Thank you
SO I've been having an issue with my E-bike, my motor is rated at 1,500 watts but for some reason I'm limited to like 650 Watts, I increased the voltage all the up to 72 volts and I hardly see much of a change, just higher power consumption without the power output.
Please could you Tell me why My P09 is stuck on 255 and won't change to 0 or 1
Whatever I do my ebike go with always full speed when I peddle it. What should do in that case?
If you have this display - change your pedal assist mode to a lower number.
Which option you mean?
Hold down button to toggle walk mode
Thanks for the tip.
wath is with P09 to P14 ? this Setting i search for. :-) P18 i cant find....
If you dont know abt electrics just leave it at the default setting but basically it limits your controllers amps to stop it overheating or potentially getting too hot and burning out which could damage or ruin it
@@ashley010788 thank you for you massage. but PAS1 to PAS5 there is no noticeable difference, what could be the reason
Do u have the pedal assist sensor set up and do u have it set to the correct number of speed measuring magnets on the LCD display?
Thanks mate
I got the sw900 display and when i put together with my bafang motor (350w) 36vdc, a proper controller with wires / plugs that mach with motor, control and display(sw900) and battery but it just don´t do anything...
It ligth up, and I set the right settings on the display but the motor don´t spin...
ps: I got the proper controller for this display (sw900) the only difference from the other controllers is that it din´t came with self learning wires.
Lovely stuff, since the type on the instructions needs a microscope to see it !
thanks, How to reset trip odometer
Why won't the sw900 display the WATT?
My display is on but just flashing I put number in but not go back to manu
does anybody know why the current trip mileage resets to zero every time my display times out and turns off when I stop riding ?
Does anyone know how to reset your miles? I had mine return to zero on a ride one day and wonder if I pressed the wrong button or something. When I reach 10k miles, I would like to reset it to zero again. Does the factory reset change the miles back to zero?
My bike doesn’t to go 18 it stops at p16 and if you hold up on the arrow it resets the trip meter sadly thought it was the factory reset.
What's it mean when it says error
My watt meter doesn't work. Any idea why?
How do I fix it
P17?
What is the default setting for p07?
Hello. the product manual states the following for P07 - "Speed measuring magnet, ranges from 1 to 100.
I can not find P18 for factory reset...max parameter setting P16. Please help me
I'm sorry out model of the SW900 only goes up to 16. Some different manufacturers might have added some extra custom features on the display for their products, which we are not aware about.

@@freedom.4.ireland776 Hello, please try to re-charge your battery and the error code should go away. If it doesn't then there may be an issue with the voltage on your battery. Hope this helps.
@@epiccycles9 thanks very much man appreciate the reply, have great day👍🙂
I wish there was a way to read more accurately how much battery is left. For my e scooter I know at 54.6v it is full and will pretty much die when it’s gets to around 42.0 you knew exactly how much juice is left whereas with this you have to guess. One second you could be going uphill and it says you’ve got 3 bars left and the next you’re on a flat and you’ve got full 5 bars
What about p09-15? U didn't show them
That is the numbering order as found on the display. We did not intentionally skip those numbers.
P09-is a start immediately or with scrolling pedals starting from PАS 1 and above/ 0 -immediately , or you can set a delay from pedaling. P10 -movement selection/0- pedals, 1-engine, 2-both together. P11- the sensitivity of the assistant how many magnets will pass on the carriage before the engine turns on is to P09 (Р09 is 0) it does not matter -start immediately. P12- the starting force of the assistant P13-the number of magnets on the connecting rod of the carriage 5,8,12 in fact. P14- controller current limit max. (indicated on the label). P15 is not a worker, does not affect work. P16- resetting the odometer reading.
@@yuriyvolski5532 thank you for your reply I appreciate you taking the time to do that but I left that comment like a year ago so I did already know. Great reply though and its confirmed what I thought was already the case so thanks again
My throttle is verry responsive but the peddle assist takes 3hole peddles before the miter starts to assist. Do you know how I can get the miter to assist as soon as I pedal
Yes, trying changing the pedal assist sensitivity level which is P11 on the display settings. It ranges from 1-24 but the higher you set it the more responsive the PAS should be and kick in sooner
pedal mode is no.12 and 13
My speed control doesn't go into neutral anymore.
Why. does not show speed?
Problem!
My battery is 52 volt
So how to turn off pedel assist??
Hello. You can push the down button to turn the pedal assist mode to "0".
I didn't even install the PAS sensor on my kit bike (bad leg, don't pedal)
How do I fix an error 08 please? I'm really struggling
My screen keeps saying…….Info 1…….what does this mean.
With wheel size settings, what if my bike is a mullet and I’m running a 29” front and a 27.5 rear hub motor?? Hahaha
P17 its power you motor between 250 to max
Soz didn’t say All power went
You've left out po9 po10 po11 po12 po13 po14 why?
