Japanese stories are unique slice of life. Plus the way they tell the story if they wanted it to be heart breaking it will be heart breaking. Kdrama's theme had always rich bully the poor, Cinderella stories, and that heavy themed stories that had dramatic dialogues. One thing they are appealing was that how they were excuted. But story wise Japanese works focused on mundane things and more realistic
This is exactly what I was trying to explain to my mom haha. I love a good cinderella story but the Japanese slice of life just can’t be beat. It really rips your heart out but also makes you appreciate everything around you so much more!

Just rewatched this drama again. ❤❤ no matter how many times I watch this series or listen to "first love", it still breaks my heart. They just have this bittersweet, yet nostalgic feeling. Utada Hikaru's songs are pure gold, especially this gem. So happy that the song itself got its own drama and the recognition it so well deserved.

Thank you for making this.. i hated that the director cut the scene so quickly and decided to go to credits when Yae was remembering Harumichi. She could've played scene a little bit more than under 2 mins.
Hola vengo a decirles que acabo de ver esta serie, y la direccion de fotografia es hermosa, tiene transiciones geniales, la empece a ver por curiosidad, me atrapo la direccion de fotografia, luego la trama y al final termine llorando haha! Hay giros argumentales que son digamos tipico de los dramas romanticos, pero no le quita la seriedad a la trama, es disfrutable mucho mejor que la media de series romanticas, una produccion muy inteligente, espero mas de la directora y estare atentos a sus proximas producciones, ciertamente se ha ganado un espacio dentro de mis series favoritas.
