"Why would he buy an account?" that's the reason. You saw the medals at first glance and thought he was legit, together with some skins and proper steam profile setup it makes less like a quick throwaway account and more like a main one.

its called paid cheats my brotha, some even come with a lifetime key and they will notify you before you even load the cheat that there "isnt a update for it yet" so making the user to not use it that day or week, then the update rolls out and they cheat again

The numbers/steamid (can be seen in faceitfinder url 2:10) cant be changed and will always link to that profile even with custom steam id that he has now.

New players are bad, and they have all the rights to do so because not everyone is born with the perfect motoric capabilities. And not all players are bad people who use cheats. Bad players are not the ones ruining the game, the developers are giving the bad people a chance to do so. Bad players aren’t guilty for assuming that others cheat, because chances are that they’re probably not wrong :).

The inventory system makes no sense now.
You can't see things in others inventories for 10 days after trade or purchase.
But you can still trade them after 7 days or put them in your show case.
it was made with good intentions (protecting newbies from getting scammed), but it was implemented horribly, in theory you can hide a scammed skin forever using this system (you trade it after 7 days and the 10-day counter resets back to 0)

it's so bad when players are having fun catching cheaters, rather then playing the actual game
i've had a cheater with an expensive inventory in one of my lobbies, when they have an item in their showcase that doesn't show up in their inventory that basically means they just bought it and its still trade locked
pro tip:whenever u see someone cheating with skins theres a 50/50 chance that they re not actual skins and that its a skin changer which can be seen by everyone in the game
that isn't how skinchangers work. Skinchangers are entirely client-sided (apart from if you're using the same cheat and it has sync.) meaning no one else can see them.
@@alacritty there is a skinchanger which i forgot its name and everyone can see your skins but not in your steam inventory +its possible to be a keylogger too but i did see it in a guys screenshare

Everytime you guys inspect a profile if you see a link to a non secured website report them for that instead of hacking (or both). If you see a link HTTP no S at the end report, don't even try to think about it. Valve cares more about scammers than hackers.
Smart, report them for damaging valves economy, not the gameplay

the thing with item showcase is that if you bought a skin and it's in that 7 limit tradeble, you can showcase it, but it will not show in inventory till that 7 days is over

Neok so if you don’t see an knife that is on the showcase in the inventory it’s because the knife or the item is trade locked so until it is not trade locked you won’t be able to see it in the inventory but on the showcase

Fun fact: Playing in full squads (4 or 5 stack) decreases the chance of cheaters in your competitive games! Tested by me and my team, of which 1 guy doesn't even have prime and we have no problem with cheaters MOST of the time
