If I ever move back to Portland, I would live in the Couve. Vancouver is Portland's "mini me" and the waterfront is only 9 miles from the one downtown. You have excellent access to the airport, and the last time I was there, the home prices were reasonable, plus I really like sailing on the Columbia.

@@larryjex6485 no. Vancouver is NOT like Portland at all. We also do not call it “the Couve” but Oregonians and Californians like to, which is gross. You must have left a long time ago. There is no affordable housing here now.

Wrong, I summer in the Couve every year, and it really is Portland's "mini me"! The home prices are very reasonable compared to the West Hills, Lake O, and other snooty areas around the metro, and I like the Couve because you get to enjoy the big city, while living in a smaller one. The 'Couve' is very much a local term, because in Seattle they just call us Portlanders.

LO is too expensive. Period. Tualatin and Sherwood should be above Beaverton and Hillsboro. Just sayin! Wilsonville has a HORRIBLE commute into downtown Portland.

Tualatin, Sherwood, Beaverton and Hillsboro are getting VERY popular and lots of growth. I agree these are great locations with a BIG bang for the buck.

Don’t move to Portland. Tijuana is safer.

I’ve been to Tijuana and I grew up in Portland. The current state of both, is about the same. Murders, traffic and crime, is about the same. Though, Tijuana probably has less homeless.
