What I like about this voting system is that no one can go home with nul points and every country has a very easy chance of scoring over 50 pts, however the major problems were with just 2 jurors per nation it wasn't hard to abuse the format and on purposely score a song 1 if your country is one of the favorites to win.

Freaky that under this scoring system, the winners all had the near-same amount of points. In '71 and '72 the total was 128, in '73 it was 129!
In 72 it was actually 129

Luxembourg only gave out 1’s and 2’s, making their votes virtually irrelevant.
