Your music heals. So, no matter what happens or what you do in this life, this remains. You have created music that heals. Genius. What an amazing gift. Thanks for sharing it with others.

I love it when Patty rambles. This version of the song is very special.

Patty Griffin can compose a song that begins to make life make sense. Patty is a "poet laureate" within country music transcending the commercial crap and moving the art into the celestial, spiritual connections that make us HUMAN. This is a rare gift in the recording industry...and, should the human race disappear...Patty Griffin's lyrics and voice will illuminate the past for the future of life.

52 seconds into a performance by Patty Griffin and I have laughed and feel like crying when she sings her stories of what feel like my life. XOXOXXOXO

This song is lifted by the last verse starting "maybe it's alright..." Funny how there's one version without that verse added. It's dark without it. With it, it's, "I don't know. I don't know, but maybe, it's alright." That's God. That's what IS at the end of every road. At the end of time. She is so honest, so humble, so beautiful ❤

With John Prine gone, that leaves Patty as the one who can break your heart in a couple of lines.
