The US has two gold medal prospects in the men's shot and the women's discuss. Medal prospects in the women's shot. In the men's high jump, US has the 3rd ranked guy. And in the middle distance events the US women have medal prospects in the 800, 1500 and 5000m - the men in the 800, and 1500, at least. Even in the 5000m - Cole Hocker can kick with anyone.

@@TheRasiani what I mean is there's now quite a long list of US athletes that have qualified for the Olympics in the events I mentioned but don't meet the Olympic standard. It's just surprising the lack of depth in the country with way more investment in track and field than any other country in the world
When I see these wild celebrations,I say to them anything can happen in 4 weeks you are not there at the Olympics games yet. Celebrate when your name is called out at the start line of your event in Paris at the Olympics games officially then you are a Olympian officially.
