@@EvilBonsai Idk, magnesium burns extremely bright.. even a small "brick" (Way smaller than a real brick) of it heated with a blowtorch can light up a football field
I was driving through Milam county, way out in the country. Wasn't any clouds when I saw it, so for me, it burned white, then bright green, then red and blew up. It was awesome!
I live in Richmond Tx and just seen the same thing 15 minutes ago! I have never seen one before so it was very amazing but at the same time scary to know another one fell. I hope I wasn’t the only one to see it.
Sylvia Perez I was driving between Giddings & Caldwell about 30 minutes ago & saw it too! It was so neat to see, but also slightly scary. I wasn’t sure what it was at first but decided it had to be a meteor because it was so much brighter and more colorful than any shooting star I’ve ever seen!
I'm in Houston, but saw it or another one. But it 5:35 am. Lit the sky up blue and heard it boom then saw the tail and the fireball . Short tail , but sounds like the same you saw. It was amazing.
This shit should be terrifying. This came from the Taurid meteor stream since we're in late fall. It'll also happen again in spring. Imagine now that it is just 300 ft wider and coming in faster straight into downtown. It'd blow a hole in downtown with the force of 3 megatons of TNT. The U.S. would think a nuclear bomb went off. Humanity needs to invest more in the space industry to monitor, catalog and police the cosmos from these civilization ending comets and asteroids. Seriously. They're not fun or a good omen to see.
i live in Waco it came right in front of me, was awesome, this video dosnt do it justice, it went from green to blue to white and had a bright orange trail of fire behind it the whole time, seemed like it lasted for 5 seconds, coolest thing ive ever witnessed
yeah thats actually arnold Schwarzenegger coming in HOT
Anyone know what off-gassed to make the blue glow? Xenon? I'm curious to know what content burned out to create that color. Thanks ahead of time! :)
Magnesium will be blue-white. per www.amsmeteors.org/fireballs/faqf/

Maggie Tucker Thank you for replying! I was hoping I wasn’t the only one to see it. I wish I could have caught it on camera.
I live in Tyler Texas and about 1:00 am this morning I saw something just like this. No clouds in the sky though. It was incredible. WOW!!! God Bless
