The PB 5 pays $1.40 and the Buy 5 pays $1.45. But if you just took odds on the 5 on the PL, it'd pay $1.50. Since you don't play the PL and prefer progressions on the PB's, you should Buy everything except the 6 & 8. That 5% commission is less than what the PB's actually pay. If the commission has to be paid upfront, Buying or Placing the 5 is equal.

For example, if you have $10 on 5/9 as your example, it will pay you $14.50. If you have $5 on pass line and $5 as odds behind it, it will only pay you $5 for pl and $7.50 for your odds total of $12.50. That’s why I don’t bet on pass line. If you are paying Vig up front payout is much closer.
I stopped playing at red rock bc they changed the software too! it’s more time consuming pressing yes on commission and not fun anymore! I stick to suncoast 😄

Nice comeback with the live craps. And good idea moving to live. That's what I do is move to other things. I play sports, horses, live craps' video poker, bubble craps everything except blackjack. Played too much blackjack and burned out on it. But you did well to come back with a profit. Thanks for sharing.

You might want to try turning your bets off every other roll when playing bubble craps. 7’s show up a lot, so theory being hopefully the 7 rolls when your bets are turned off. I did that when I was in Vegas in Nov and it saved my ass. Give it a shot next time.

Refine your strategy. Possibilities are hopping the 6 and 8 ...from roll history .. limited high horn bets 25-50$ ..hop the 7's...25-50$ ..play and hop 10 after 4 and play hop 4 after 10 ..hardways come in Bunches certain dice combo's trigger multiple hardways .
Seems like you are psychology bugged by that upfront commission and the reprogramming of the machine. Could of pulled down to claim a profit, the rolls were really decent. The more you roll that dice the more likely a 7 will hit. The max bet hit and run strategy you were using before looks profitable, but waiting for a certain numbers to show first seems to be counter intuitive. Change it up, for example try going two rolls max bet after point is set, then if you have the disipline leave the casino and come bwck the next day

What is the difference in the payout with the vig vs without? I think getting screwed either way, except no up front vig if 7 comes out
