    Nice presentation for Vitamix. However, many people know (not everyone) that Vitamix liquifies ingredients better than Ninja. To regular users who do not spend hours in the kitchen playing with blenders, food processors etc. it is good enough to go with Ninja. Also, Vitamix is at least double the price of Ninja.

    The motor underneath lets off a slight smell and it's a little loud ruclips.net/user/postUgkxCKuMxLnvr6fJd_M4SE-n7trcGj3zEUHq but considering it's size and how hard it works to do the job, it's sort of expected. I assume the smell will go away over time. Overall, I love this cute little blender. The extra cups and lids are great too!

    I know not all ninjas are the same. I have the ninja duo with auto-iq and I have used it several times a day for the last 4 years. It has been excellent for sauces, dressings, soups, salsa and pico de gallo, smoothies, pesto, grind coffee beans, and homemade hummus. I have found the smaller blending cups do make things smoother then the large container. Is it the quality of the Vitamix? Probably not. But it surely does the job until I can afford one.

    This was an excellent and useful video. Some of the comments complain about comparing a high-end $500+ blender to a $100 blender, but there's many good reasons for it. Firstly, if Ninja is comparing itself to Vitamix, then it's asking for it. Second, it's good to see if the extra money nets you a better product, which it does. I'm sold on one. Pro Tip: buy a used one if the $600 price tag for new is too steep.
    Better to buy a used high quality machine than a new cheaply made one.
    Also, you can get parts for Vitamix blenders, even the older ones. Being able to repair a unit vs throwing it away to buy another cuts down on waste and adds value.

    Look people, stop comparing the Vitamix vs. Ninja review like a Lambo vs. Prius. Its a $400 blender vs. $100 blender, not a $20K car vs. $250k car. If you need a blender right now and can afford it, get a vitamix. If you can't afford a vitamix, get a ninja. If you don't need the blender now and can save some money, then get the vitamix.
    The vitamix is a chef quality blender that doesn't leave any chunks while the ninja just chops everything up as finely as possible but doesn't technically "blend". Also, keep in mind that the ninja is only as good as the sharpness of the blade which wears down over time. I used a ninja at least 3 times a week for 1.5 years and I needed to replace the blades every 6 months which cost me about $100 total. I currently own the vitamix, use it 5-7 times a week and have owned it for 1.5 years and its still running fine. Keep in mind that the vitamix comes with a 5 year warranty

I'd go 160 anyway over 500.00 then I'd just go ahead and buy a nutribullet and you could do everything and then some that the 500.00 one would do for only about 260.00 way cheaper.

    Excellent review. Clear comparison and clear winner.
    Edit: People saying it is an unfair comparison due to price are wrong. The Ninja's design relies on its blades being sharp so you will see a rapid fall in performance. This means buying new blades. Its assembly is brittle. This means a new machine. By the time my vitamix dies, you would have needed to buy many, many replacement ninjas and thus spent far more money. The Vitamix wins on BOTH performance and price. Then when you consider the work involved in some recipes, like fermenting veg before pureeing, why would you waste that effort on a lower quality machine?

First off all you are comparing 2 products that are NOT of the same category. Vitamix is a lot more expensive product than Ninja. Ninja never claimed that can make hot soup. Why do you even try this unethical comparison? Sounds like you are getting paid from vitamix to crush Ninja but that is not working for me. Go look for a refurbished Vitamix a2500 and you'll see the prices make them direct competitors. For the price, the vitamix mops the floor with the Ninja. Technically speaking, the entry level vitamix uses the same motor as the high end ones, so if you wanted apples to apples there you go. The entry level units may lack smarts, but they'll still blend the hell out of whatever you place inside of them.

      shirlene cambridge, the Vitamix is not too loud at lower speeds, once you go past speed 5 it gets pretty loud - it's hard to keep a 2.2 horsepower motor quiet! If you are worried about noise, you may look at the Blendtec Pro 800 which has a sound shield making it very quiet - this is what smoothie shops and cafes use to make blended things quietly. Because of the blade design on the Vitamix, it has a tendency to heat or damage the nutrients of any vegetable smoothie. The Ninja would not have this problem...I'll be keeping my Ninja.

      @@josephenglish4496 i watched the video and everything you said has nothing to do with what i said. The fruits and vegetables wont turn into hot soup if you dont leave it on for two long. Even then, you can just leave it on the low levels to avoid it heating up the contents inside the blender. It sounds like you never tried the vitamix yourself, otherwise you wouldnt be so against it. Its a bit pricey for the blender but i assure you if you manage to get your hands on a one, you will never need another blender again.

    I’ve seen these comparisons before and as I figured, there is a massive massive problem with your comparison. You don’t compare blenders using the exact same amount of time, especially when they don’t have the same wattage. They have a specific amount of time for a specific recipe. I know for a fact ninja does a better job than you were showing here and I’ve seen it.

      Hey, thanks for your question! The Ninja can perform blending task, just not at the level that the Vitamix Ascent can. The two blenders are defiantly at different price points and are targeted at different markets. When we compare products, our goal is to do balanced tests and report the results accurately. The Vitamix is at a higher price point, but does offer better performance in every area we tested. If price is a more important factor for you and you're not concerned with the quality of blends, then the Ninja may be a better fit. Let us know if you have any further questions!

    • @jesusistheway3872
      @jesusistheway3872 6 лет назад +4

      Hi, The reason I asked the question was that I saw other reviews, and test, that when the Ninja was allowed to go a little longer, it did create a better juice, as far as Ice Crushing, the Ninja made snow out of the Ice.
      I don't own either one, looking right now, money is no problem, but not a lot people can shovel out in some cases 4 to 6 hundred dollars, and that is just for the Machine in Vita's Mix's case.
      The Ninja does give you a ton of stuff for 200 bucks.
      So maybe the Vita Mix does it quicker, but a little more time does not bother me.
      Thanks for you reply !

      I started off with the Ninja BL660. It is 1100w and came with two single serve cups. And it just couldn't make green smoothies very well. Every time I tried to make a green smoothie, it came out exactly as you saw in this video. I put up with the Ninja for over a month, drinking gritty smoothies. I had never tried to blend green smoothies before so I assumed other blenders wouldn't be much better. I was dead wrong.
      I found that even $100 traditional blenders made better smoothies than the Ninja. The problem is that the tower of blades design simply spins contents around. Most blenders have a blade at the bottom which creates a vortex allowing food to be blended and re-blended instead of being spun around. That's why the Ninja's single serve cups do better, they have a more traditional blade design.
      Speaking of those tower of blades, they are very sharp and hazardous. It can be removed and you've got to be careful where you put them for your safety and the safety of others.
      Honestly if you want to make good green smoothies any $100+ blender would be better than the Ninja blenders. Ironically that blade design they have looks fearsome, but it is terrible for blending. If you can't afford a Vitamix, then look into the KitchenAid Diamond blender. It isn't going to compete with Vitamix, but it's much much better than Ninja. It's actually quite good for the price.

      I want a blender that blends well, smoothies a must, and we love Snowballs, and we wanted one that really crushes the ice into snow, like we saw with the Ninja. I would love a Vitamix, but to pricey right now, we missed a sale at Costco , so you think the Kitchen Aid will do this, and the Snow ?

    • @tkdguy5494
      @tkdguy5494 6 лет назад +2

      Jesus is the Way: if you want a blender that will make good smoothies, then yes, you'd be much happier with the KitchenAid. Just watch this video: ruclips.net/video/17f8wo526_c/видео.html
      Ninja smoothies are gritty... it's kinda like drinking a smoothie with thousands of bits of sand in it. And you can't blend blackberries or raspberries in the Ninja, because the seeds are left whole, meaning you have to drink whole seeds. It's just not a good blender.
      And yes, the KitchenAid has no problem blending ice. Although another thing you might want to consider is a refurbished Vitamix or Blendtec. You can find the KitchenAid Diamond blender on Amazon right now for about $113. You can also get a recertified used Blendtec on Amazon for about $237 right now, and it comes with a 3 year warranty. Blendtec will absolutely give you Vitamix quality smoothies and can do just about anything a Vitamix can do. But if $237 is still too pricey, then I'd go with the KitchenAid blender.
      Trust me, just search Ninja vs other blenders, and you'll find that the Ninja loses just about every single time.

      Hello! According to the Ninja's manual, the BL770A model is from 2016, and at the time of filming this video was the most current model we had access to. Shortly after we finished this project, of course there was a new model that came out! You are correct, there are newer Ninja models out currently and hopefully in the future we can do another comparison with the newer models. Thanks for the input!

    • @ocrun6765
      @ocrun6765 6 лет назад +1

      The BL770 line has been out since 2012. Prior to the Vitamix Ascent release there have been several more powerful Ninja models than the one you tested available for comparison. The BL800 which came out in 2013 and the current Ninja Chef are much more powerful. Also there is a less powerful current Ninja Intelligence line (which I suspect will perform as poorly as the model you tested). A more interesting test would be against one of the older BL800 models or the similarly powered current Ninja Chef models. I tested a BL800 vs a Vitamix 5200 about five years ago and the Vitamix was slightly better at Kale smoothies but not 3x the price better. However, over time, the Ninja has had several significant failures while the Vitamix has had zero problems. Also, Ninja's warranty is effectively useless.
      All of your tests scenarios were interesting, just would have been better had it included a more capable competitor.

    • @EverythingKitchens
      @EverythingKitchens  6 лет назад +1

      OC, thanks for the info. I would suspect that most of the test like the powdered sugar milling and the hot soup test would come out similar because the BL800 is was still using that stacked blade design, but I can see where the bump of power in that model could give better smoothie results. It does look like the most current Ninja models have dropped the stacked sharp blade design and went to a blade design similar to the Vitamix. Hopefully this year we can do another comparison with Vitamix and Ninja with one of their newer blade designs 🥦 Thanks for all your input!

    • @ocrun6765
      @ocrun6765 6 лет назад

      You're welcome. FYI the BL800 has a removable stacked blade. It works much better without that stacked blade for almost everything. Blasting ice cubes in to snow is one exception. With the stacked blades it performed well better than the Vitamix. However, I've never had occasion to make my own snow outside of that test.
