Good luck! We caught most of the catfish north of Buffalo Creek. Pretty much above that point there wasn't a thermocline. We fished the coves south of Clarksville in the evening to catch bait (bluegill, perch etc).
Wow! Watching from England I am jealous that you get to fish such a vast lake. There's a large reservoir near me but they only let rich folk fly fish it. Most of the other large lakes and reservoirs that allow bait fishing etc are prohibitively expensive. I just want to fish in peace and quiet 😊 Great cat at the start!
Thank You. This lake was a bit of a drive for me (7hrs), but it is alot bigger and less boat traffic than what I am used to. We are fortunate in the US that most of our waters are free to use.
I'm not being a smart alec when I say you should move to America. Almost every state has good fishing. Trout to catfish, and everything in between. Pay to fish? VERY rarely.
I'm lucky to call Kerr Lake home. Just 20 minutes away! So glad we have an abundance of these great cats. Nothing like them!!!!

Buggs Island is my favorite place for cats! 2 hours away keeps me from fishing it as often as I like. Nice video y'all ❤

Half of my meat comes from the Kerr Dam overflow. I don't even have to catch it. My neighbor brings it to me.
