These student grade paints are amazing! Blows other student grade and even higher grade paints out of the water. 🎉

These are really good paints, worth the slightly higher price.

    Are these "non-toxic" paints?

From what we know these have been used in schools up from elementary grade since basically forever, if that says anything about the toxicity (One would hope) It is sadly unknown to us. If you have questions regarding the certification of these paints we would like to point you to Pelikans official multilingual website www Pelikan com where you can contact them regarding specific questions like that, thank you.

they are used for education an are marketed for younger children, so my assumption is that they don't use toxic materials.
Pelikan developed these in the 70ies 80ies with the goal of teaching children how mixing colours works. You can use the yellow magenta and cyan blue as primaries and you get a black of you mix the correct ration, which might not work as predictable with other school supplies. I think that why they are often recommended in primary schools here in Germany. They want a predictable product for teaching so that the children actually learn what they're supposed to learn, when they do the exercise in school.
I've have been using this kind type of paint since i was around 1 year old and have been using them also to paint a lot of other kids' faces as a child and can't remember ever getting any type of allergic reaction or irritation, but you probably shouldn't eat them.
I'm not very knowledgeable with chemistry but there is a paper with safety information and it doesn't seem to have toxic material in them, though take this with a grain of salt please.
