Rights sold by producer and he only earns . Not director . He gets salary for directing movie unless director and producer had agreement to share rights of story or screenplay. Normally Shankar holds the rights of his story so reducing a part of salary for that

Mr Ravikumar while you have your right of views but they look like your wishes for the future. Please note that Raja Sir is fighting for his rights within and what existing law allows him to fight for. If you want to make amendments to the copyright law and the % of allocation etc is something you have to agree in a consensus within your industry. It is non-existant unfortunately and you have to agree pan-India. Not just Thamizh Naadu. So, it is a distant dream. Also, out of that creation for the audio version of a song the contribution of the music composer /director is the most. So it will be composer, lyricist, director and then only a producer.

மொத்தத்தில் producer க்கு சேர வேண்டிய ராயல்டிஐ இசை மட்டும் சொந்தம் கொண்டாடி வருவது நியாமா!?
உங்களுக்கு புரிதல் இல்லை.. அறிவுசார் சொத்தின் அடிப்படையில் இசையமைத்துள்ளார்கள் ராயல்டி வாங்குகிறார்கள். ரகுமான் மற்ற இசையமைத்துள்ளார்களும் வாங்குகிறார்கள்.. ரகுமானுக்கு சட்ட வழக்கறிஞர்கள் குழு உண்டு. அவர்கள் அதை பெற்று தருகிறார்கள் 2000 ஆண்டுகளுக்கு முன்பு இசையமைத்த பாடல்களுக்கு தான் இளையராஜா ராயல்டி கேட்கிறார். அப்போது இந்த சட்டம் இல்லை.. மேலும் முழுதாக அவர் கேட்கவில்லை. அவரோட பழைய 4500 பாடல்களின் தயாரிப்பாளர்களுக்கும் சேர்த்துதான்போராடுறார். தயாரிப்பாளர் தாணு அவர்களின் பேட்டியை பார்க்கவும்
Ilayaraja did not say Producer should not get his share.
He is asking for his share only.
That too he is asking for the songs for which he has the agreements for ownerships.
If Producer has already agreed and signed in the agreement, why to cry now.
No actual producer of Ilayaraja movie is talking against Ilayaraja.
Because they have already signed the agreement. I dont know why unrelated parties are crying here.
