I just stumbled upon this channel and it's exactly what I've been looking for. You're crazy underrated and every video has a lot of effort and personality put into it. Really appreciate you!
Your channel is a hidden gem, thanks for sharing your knowledge!
You'll have hundreds of thousands of subscribers soon. Thanks for the video!
Thanks! 😊
Finally, my lightbulb moment came!
Very nicely done - this concept gets way too many people covering too much using too large of technical words and not enough simple easy to follow examples with only the minimum explanation needed. Great job!
Fantastic video! I rarely have trouble coming up with riffs, but struggle with how to develop them in ways that make musical sense feel satisfying. This framework for development is really helpful and something I've never come across in trying to learn composition. Thanks so much!
My pleasure! It used to be a huge issue for me as well. One of my biggest goals for this channel is to create and share content that I was never able to find when I first started out. I'm glad to know it's already helping people :)
Thank you for making these videos! Yours have been very concise and incredibly helpful at deconstructing the various elements of music theory. For an amateur like myself, a video dedicated to the Question Answer concept would be super useful. One focused on deconstructing the short piece you composed for this video and looking a bit more in depth into the harmony strings and the counter melody and remaining elements you chose to use would be great. Please keep up the good work, it's really, really well done. Hope you're safe 🤗
you are everything i have looked for. this will help so much. subscribed and will be watching more videos and continuing to support you!! ❤
This man is a godsend
Thank you 🙏
Thank you for this amazing video. You really know how to explain things in a simple, easy to understand way. Guess I'll try using it :D
Thanks! I''m thrilled that you find it helpful :)
Seu trabalho é muito bom. Obrigado.

This is ridiculously good
The best video I ever see, great!!!
Super helpful! Thank you. :)
i like the motif u came up with
Thanks, Josh :)
Great video. Shame the template is no longer here :(
I'd love to see a follow-up video on harmony and how to choose the right chords to support the emotion of the piece, rather than just a harmonic structure video, which you've probably done!?
Awesome vid👌
Subscribed! Ah man love this, exactly the type of content I've been looking for! Awesome and so helpful to beginners who want to learn more and follow step by step. But I went to the website and it says expired. If you, or anyone who has it, sees this comment could you provide the text resources that were created for this?
such a good video, what about one for chord progressions?
Try this ruclips.net/video/TKU2sYP4DKE/видео.html
Thank you
This piece of yours reminds me John Barry. Congrats for that 👏
Thank you! This is a tremendous compliment
It's a sincere and well deserved one. Keep the awesome work 👊
just tried the prevade tip on something i got stuck and it helped. v simple exercise to make things move forward, thank you :) . idk if I like songs to end in resolution, I feel it’s like in literature or film: providing a closed end feels like pre-modern times or something, while leaving an open end leaves me with more excitement, idk how this translates to music theory vocabulary... ending with a deconstructed question maybe?
Glad I could help, aghostina! And that's a good point. Not everyone likes to have a strong cadence at the end of their music. I want to cover that topic in the future, so keep an eye out for it :)
@@TableTopComposer sure, thank you
I love this and thanks so much! BTW, I’m having trouble finding and printing out the template. I’m very likely missing something easy to do. I hate pleading age but that’s probably why.
I'm glad you've found my video so helpful! And no worries, I've changed websites since posting this video, so that's probably what the issue is. You can find the template on my blogpost here: www.tabletopcomposer.com/post/developing-motifs
I’ll look for you on Patreon although it looks I can get lots on your site. Your template is terrific.
Banging vid
Thanks!
I'm happy to help! Thanks for the support :)

Thanks! And the website is down for a bit while I update it. Please be patient, and I'll get everything up and running as soon as I can :)
musical motifs are not also considered as questions and answers
?
What are the antecedents and consequents?
Wow thank you so much! But just an observation, the website is not working anymore
I'm glad it's helpful! I just launched my new website and have updated the link in this video. Let me know if you have any trouble finding the post you're looking for :)
this is a very good post but could be much longer
goated activity
how is he picking which chords to go with the motifs?
I have a video about this in my "harmony for composers" play list :)
why is it that only music youtubers can't fix their audio levels
Give us the q&a video please
