Ivan Varghese Our departments have boundaries. Officers work within the boundaries of the department that hired them. When we go into another departments jurisdiction it’s usually to assist them because they will be the lead in any arrest or writing tickets. In this video, the county has the jurisdiction inside the transit system and Miami PD has the surrounding area outside. So we have to work together.
Departments set policies within state laws when it comes to lights and sirens usage. Some departments allow a modified response (like the one in the video) and others do not.

When there is a suspicion of narcotics or something else on vehicle, K-9 comes and it comes out negative, is the police obliged to pay for the car to be cleaned (concerning hair)?
