Would you get into nitro in 2023? Electric has come so far in recent times I cant help but feel nitro is now second best.. but you may disagree! AK787 Giveaway date to be announced soon so stay tuned! Make sure you are subbed and if you missed the giveaway announcement you can enter here: ruclips.net/video/hI4Uff867WI/видео.html see you on the next one 💯😎👍
No, Nitro is nit viable for me. The maintenance is not a factor at all. The fuel price/availability is a much bigger factor. The speed and runtime advantage is no longer there. Also, most people don't have a fire locker to keep the fuel in. The noise i'll miss tough.
The maintenance, repairs and servicing are the MAIN reason why I enjoy nitro over electric(brushed or brushless). For me it's called a hobby and not a toy for a reason
Loving the Nitro content! Would love to see more on the channel! Electric has come a very long way but sometimes you just want to make a racket! 👌😆 I love both but when a nitro is dialled and running perfect you can’t beat it!
I just received this car a few weeks ago with only 1 speed (Chassis version) w/ no body because I want to paint my own for it. I did find the 2 speed main gear and the 2 speed clutch bell that I just ordered last night. They both together were only around $30 including shipping!! I broke the engine in and it has plenty of power but it def needs the 2 speed to get the most out of the engine IMO. I cant wait to get the parts to go play :). Also I have gotten into electric in the past two years but after going back to Nitro there is nothing like it. Yes electric is a bit cleaner but the maintenance you need to do on Nitro is just fun. Figuring out the needle settings and making sure things are good is more satisfying to me. I am in the USA in OHIO and I was happy to be able to get the Bonzai "Nitro" which they do not sell here in the US. Great Vid friend!! Also just a tip for the beginner Nitro people. Warm the engine up with a hair dryer or heat gun to about 150-180 degrees when the engine is brand new right before before you break it in and continue to do this before every run. This will help with tuning and starting. I know its basic but it helps a lot!!
Not sure I'd get into nitro- Its definitely the maintenance that scares me-and the mess of working on one. That car is definitely a nice little introduction to the nitro for sure! Love the green!!!
I love your channel and would like to see more nitro reviews. I've already bought a few nitros in 2023. There's nothing like running a nitro. The smell, the sound, the smoke. I actually enjoy tuning nitro RC carbs.
That’s probably the last nitro until next year now as they are just not popular anymore 🥲 people just don’t like them like they used to and beginners are instantly put off due to the work involved! A real shame but not the end of nitro content I have some great cars coming up in the future!
Awesome kit! A drift car being nitro is that much cooler! With the nitro vs electric debate, I do agree electric is superior in performance and easy of maintenance. But the sound and smell of a real engine is hard to beat! The best of both worlds is a gas 1/5 scale in my opinion . Wild power, crazy sound, and super easy to run and maintain compared to nitro. As much as I love nitro I don’t see myself getting another one after having gas rc’s, and with rovan and king motors as an option it’s very affordable to get into.
@@beyondRC yes the noise can definitely be a problem. A cy exhaust can such as the one that comes on the losi 5ive-t stock cuts down the sound dramatically. Isn’t much louder than a nitro then. I would absolutely love seeing a gas 1/5 like the rovan 30.5cc buggy on your channel. At $499 usd it’s the cheapest 1/5 scale out there. A cheapest way to get into gas rc series.
Looked like tyre smoke when doing donuts -like it! Pre-heating the engine before trying to start it makes it so much easier to start. Just a couple of pulls if tuned well. Enjoy
7 to 10 minutes a tank ,most tanks are between 100ml to 200ml for cars and trucks.. Big races will run for 60 minutes non stop with pitstops being only a couple seconds to refuel. It gets pretty intense at the pro levels for both on road and offroad race's 😊 The break in period can be different for each engine but about 10 tanks of fuel starting slow at first and going faster with each tank before you try and tune for the most power and RPM...
I've always liked nitro I love the sound and that I need to tune the car to get more power but the only downside I would say is that I have to buy fuel and as I own an xtm xt2 fuel doesn't Last that long and it can be quite costly but apart from that I love nitro and they are quite cheap used. But with electric now, if you want something fast then you can get a cheap brushless car that can probably be faster than most nitros.
@@waynepwaggett9904 I know that it's available in UK. But because UK left the European Union it will be taxes and customs fee so it will not be cheap when it arrives. So I can probably get something better for the same money. And part availability is non existent. But will there be a Swedish retailer with normal price and spare parts I would definitely buy one.
The only thing I hate about nitro is the run aways 😂 I’ve had a lot of nitro but got my first electric rc car and never went back to nitro don’t need to worry about run aways anymore
I've got a cheap ftx banzai electric and nitro. Nitro was more fun sound smell and all of that, but nitro is so much agro if you don't what to do when it goes wrong? In no expert just a mere amateur. My banzai is the bollock××××s and it is such good value for a beginner or otherwise. Get that new rlaarlo out geazer can't wait to see it in action.
@beyondRC it's my birthday on the 1st I'll consider your review as a late birthday present 🎁 lol. Can't wait please put that dual motor in with video please 🙏 thanks geazer
An old skool RC pilot told me that once electric became good enough he switched complete!y as he just couldnt stand the immense maintenance- especially on planes. Still cool though 😁
It's fast for the price. Nitro rc cars many years before was very slow. Especially in the 90s the cheapest nitro rc cars was very very slow literally very slow. So the nitro rc car you see in the video is fast trust me is fast and when you tune it properly it would be faster. Nitro rc these days are more fun as I see.
This happened a while back which is a shame really as nitro does have more character although a lot of the die hard nitro fans will disagree that it’s dead/almost dead 😂

I like how you didn't go overboard with the stickers,I'm running in the banzai now and decided to keep the stickers to a minimum.

4:12 You can tell this guy has never had a nitro because he's melted the body due to not cutting a port for the exhaust.
Have had plenty of nitros. Ever heard of forgetting to do something? I realised later. The world loves a smart ass
It's nice to see some nitro action at times, I've always been a fan so well done mate, thanks for your upload 👍🙏🐱
Glad you enjoyed 😎👍

I've been kicking it around to pick up a Nitro Rc. Thanks for the info mate.
Nitro buggy racing is pretty cool to watch but i dunno about a runner. But it looks fun! Cheers

Got to get back into 1/5 gas 😢. Problem I have is the noise and finding suitable places to run them 😢

I finaly found an RUclipsr who still does nitro rc car contend that i like❤❤
I don't care what I go threw.nothing like it.feels more real
i was running those tires on the new wltoys buggy and they seem really good for drifting, didn't notice any wear
they surprised me actually!

How long doed the whole process of breakinf in the engine usually take? How long does the average tank of fuel last in an RC car?
7 to 10 minutes a tank ,most tanks are between 100ml to 200ml for cars and trucks.. Big races will run for 60 minutes non stop with pitstops being only a couple seconds to refuel. It gets pretty intense at the pro levels for both on road and offroad race's 😊

1/5 gas coming next week 😎👍
Cool video
Thanks 😊

for sure!
Lovely nitro drift 👍 nice to see some nitro. Unfortunately the FTX nitro isn't available where I live.
I'm sure we can get you one. If I had the money I'd post you one. Dirt cheap for the package. I'm sure beyond rc could help you out?

Nice ❤️
If by rewards you mean minor burns. I agree.
I miss nitro. Not enough to go back.
Thats fair enough :)
Electric might be easier than nitro, but it'll definitely never be as cool 😎
True that!
It do look like a really nice car 🚗 very cheap also but . Anyways i like it 😊 . If i do grap one it would be this
Yes. Too much bs with nitro / noisy.. Ill stay electric....have a great day✌🏼🤠
Very fair point and I’m sure most will agree 😅
Ok grandma.
It’s okay to just say ur not competent nor skilled enough to run nitro

I do think electric has just come way too far now and there is no going back to these old times 😢
Just got myself one of these like 2 weeks ago
dang, I was hoping it was an actual purpose built rwd nitro drift car.
Doubt that will ever happen as nitro just isn't popular anymore :(
@beyondRC well, you sure got my hopes up.. nitro is making a comeback here in the US, and in off road racing it is strong as.

Drift tyres on a nitro can let your engine over rev & bugger it up.! 😉 😉
Of course as reduced load. The stock tyres were perfectly fine and a nice balance of grip and sideways action 😊
Damn but ima be honest nitro rc’s are dead electric took over
This happened a while back which is a shame really as nitro does have more character although a lot of the die hard nitro fans will disagree that it’s dead/almost dead 😂
@@beyondRC it is true nitro cars are really cool and nice but just hard to maintain
Bought my first nitro (jato 3.3) two weeks back. My electric cars haven't moved
