Good tip, I got 5.0 in every category besides kid friendly ( because I dont have all the toys unlocked) so you dont necessarily need 5.0 in every category

Is it smarter to have the kitchen on one floor instead of two floors? Which is more efficient

from my experience, they seem to prioritize one kitchen area. if they go to the other floors kitchen, they go back to the first trying to find a space. so the chefs will just be moving back and forth the entire time, wasting time. i'd say just keep it to one floor
