most of the rounded coping at skateparks that used to be square is just simply from use over time, after several hundred thousand grinds on something, it starts to really ware down! concrete just wares 100x faster
Good point! The ledge with the rounded edge I showed is really old. The ledges at my usual park are really sharp because they’re really new. I guess I need to get better so I don’t have to be picky about the ledges I can use. 😁
Now this was a very detailed explanation on how to master the grind of a crooked nature. Thank you so very much for sharing your knowledge, thoughts and opinions. You’re simply the BEST!
No. You’re the best! You’re the person that got the ball rolling on this little project. I’m glad I did it and I’m looking forward to digging into the details on how to exit the grind. 👊👍
Solid tutorial. I appreciate it. The body weight ship will be the most challenging part for me. Or just aiming the truck into the box. This looks like a padded shorts, elbow pad, and helmet adventure for me.
Thanks for checking it out. Padding up is good idea. When I was first learning, slipping out was very common. Landing on the butt or forward arm elbow is very likely. I think you can do it though. Just focus on pulling the front truck diagonally into the ledge, then putting the weight on the heel. You got this. 👊👍
@@StuffnThings42 I've tried on a parking block and had a lot of fun but nothing worth posting lol. I don't think I rolled away from one tho. I was mostly feeling out the pinch, one reason I like this video
Ahhh, wish i had seen your video a week ago 😂 You definitely have a solid crook, love it. I gave up on the regular pop out and went with a pivot out, have to try and shuv out it yours looks super clean. Really want to figure out the regular pop out, this ones definitely a tricky one.
Funny that YT proposes this to me when just yesterday I started to learn Crooks. One thing that I like to do for never done before grinds and slides is to just get into that position a something stable and just stand still in that position for as long as possible. Maybe play around with my feet and see where they feel the most comfortable. And once I can hold that positions is will start doing the trick with some slow run up. Btw just by this method I landed two Crooks in a row with some short grind the very first day. Nice video. Definitely inspiring
Nice video, man I finally got my board since my parents are visiting. Man, I’m so out of it. First push and almost pulled my groin because it rolled smoother than expected and almost slid out from under me. Going to def need to take it easy at first to get familiar with riding again. You’ve inspired me to rid again (as I mentioned on another video)
I’m really excited that you’re getting back into it. Take it slow at first. It will take time for your mind and body to remember and relearn. But it’s a fun journey that I think is totally worth it. Have fun! 👊👍
Stop taking away my excuses to not try to learn that damn trick! 😅 Seriously, that was one good tutorial! Well done man! Even I feel I can learn that now! 😁

I've been avoiding this trick for so many years. Time to learn it! 💪🏽✨
It would be awesome if you decide to go for it. When it starts working, it feels incredible. You got this. 👊👍
For sure one of the most satisfying ledge trick! ✨✨✨
