I agree on the ASMR dictatorship affecting smaller channels. Taylor getting promoted that heavily by YT is ridiculous. Only her older videos are somewhat good ASMR.

My exciting thing this week is that my mother got married over the weekend and I gave a bridesmade speech that I was uncomfortable doing since public speaking isn’t my thing (especially in front of family and friends) but it went well!
It definitely seems like the content creators with 100k + subscribers are getting additional exposure even while not as active, it also seems like they are getting punished a lot less with regards to the demonetization issue. Really unfortunate considering how much time and effort gets put into these videos. As one of your first 1000 subscribers it's great to see your viewership growing though, keep up the good work and thanks for all you do.
But isn't this just a fact about RUclips in general? It's not specific to ASMR. All RUclips creators are in the same boat, since the algorithm favors the top 5 in any category? No? It seems like all these type of algorithms have the same problem. Facebook's news feed favors your most popular friends, and your friends who don't get a lot of view and likes get erased from your feed. People who only make one FB post every two months are dead to Facebook. The algorithm doesn't know how much you love them. Then when they die -- literally die -- you have no idea because Facebook's algorithm isn't putting them in your feed. This is something we can't rely on machine algorithms for. RUclips, Facebook, best ASMR artist, President of the United States. Whatever.

I know there's so many good content creators out there and I have no idea how youtube does their recommendations along the sidebar, but some of them are not very good. My 3 favorites, besides your channel are ASMR Glow, Fairy Char ASMR, and ASMR Destiny. Glow has great and different content, Fairy Char always has tingle worthy vids, and Destiny has probably the highest quality content you will ever find.
First, three striking elements of this video hit me initially: (1) I absolutely love your outfit with the hearts and how it goes around your neck, (2) your nails-fantastic! and (3) your stunning beauty (self; hair, eyes, hands). I agree with the point you are making, in that once a channel gets to a certain size they can (and sometimes do) take their foot off the pedal and coast a little. Coasting doesn't seem to hurt them because the size and how the RUclips algorithm works seems to keep pushing them to the forefront anyway. I don't think this is even just an ASMR thing, it applies to other communities/genres too. One thing I would say is I wouldn't call it a dictatorship because that implies the person/channel is somehow to blame and controlling things, whereas I think it's the nature of the platform (youtube and it's algorithms) which causes this effect. Do some of them take full advantage? I'm sure they do. Whatever the reasons, this makes it hard for smaller channels to grow and even maintain subsriber numbers and get seen by more people. Perhaps other avenues of advertitising the great work you do like the ASMR subreddit for example might be worth looking at?
I think I misspoke I'm not in any way trying to blame specific content creators. It's just a bit rubbish that I can't sometimes take a break without knowing people will unsub. P.S. I use the subreddit :) all the best to you and thank you for sharing your opinion :)
Just subscribed today, love the content. As far as the dictatorship thing goes all I can say is a lot of it has to do with the algorithm of RUclips which is very complicated but is one of the reasons why certain artists will blow up. All I can say is keep at it and you'll get your subscribers.

My week has been great. I’ve been watching the Australian open tennis and this weekend is the finals. It’s been exciting to see the matches. As someone who has been watching ASMR for about 5 years now I've seen how the fingle fingers of fate have chosen some channels have exploded in popularity, others scratch and claw to where they are now, and others languish in relative obscurity. I think certain trigger named videos receive more visibility and the channels that produce content regularly also benefit, but I honestly have no idea. Production quality, theatrics, community engagement, and word of mouth are things that are factors of a channel doing well but they aren't always a surefire way to success. Also I've noticed that the more you watch of a certain channel the more you see of them. I recently discovered your channel and after watching a handful I now have about 5 videos on my sidebar. The algorithms are weird.
Nothing exciting here in Edmonton AB Canada lol 8am Friday morning just finished shoveling almost 2 feet (24 inches) of snow 😭👌 also I love the sounds of jewellery, it's almost a light tapping sound puts me to sleep 😴

My week has been great. I’ve been watching the Australian open tennis and this weekend is the finals. It’s been exciting to see the matches. Thank god for dvr or there would be no way I could watch it. Considering it’s a 15 hours difference between us over in America. I don’t mind your jewelry. Thanks Sophie 😊.

As someone who has been watching ASMR for about 5 years now I've seen how the fingle fingers of fate have chosen some channels have exploded in popularity, others scratch and claw to where they are now, and others languish in relative obscurity. I think certain trigger named videos receive more visibility and the channels that produce content regularly also benefit, but I honestly have no idea. Production quality, theatrics, community engagement, and word of mouth are things that are factors of a channel doing well but they aren't always a surefire way to success. Also I've noticed that the more you watch of a certain channel the more you see of them. I recently discovered your channel and after watching a handful I now have about 5 videos on my sidebar. The algorithms are weird.

Nothing exciting here in Edmonton AB Canada lol 8am Friday morning just finished shoveling almost 2 feet (24 inches) of snow 😭👌 also I love the sounds of jewellery, it's almost a light tapping sound puts me to sleep 😴
