We travelled from venice to florence and then florence to rome both by high speed train and loved it. Looking forward to going to venice again someday.
I have been on two trains within Italy and another from Venice to Vienna. They were good on all three trips really. For me, no delays which was a surprise. Thank you for the video!
Just caught up to this, I enjoyed it, the adding of background history of some of the stations and the line was a great touch! Wishing you continued channel growth!
Hi Ryan! I've done the Freccia from Venice to Florence to Rome back in 2011, but this year in April I'll be filming Venice to Milan (via Verona) for my channel. Then from Milan I'll be flying down to Rome on ITA Airways, so I can film that one as well. Your video helped me see what Freccia looks like now as it's been over a decade!
Enjoy your trip! I have a Venice to Milan video coming up with Frecciarossa in 2 weeks! Hehe... Ah yes, ITA Airways, I'll be looking forward to the videos.
I haven’t travelled on the Italian railways , but I have travelled on the next best thing , the Adelaide to Gawler via Smithfield train 😄😄.. in fact I’ll be on it this coming Wednesday ..
I'm heading to Europe again in June. In fact, I was looking at Iceland but it's sooooooo expensive. So I'll end up in Sweden, still Scandinavian like Norway eh? Hehehe... Cheers!
I intend doing this journey in the near future so thank you for the information. It is beyond embarrassing that the train from Adelaide to Melbourne only departs twice a week and takes over 12 hours. Australia definitely needs to develop high speed rail.
Oh the Frecciarossa train? When are you riding it and from where to where? Sigh, Australia has a sad situation when it comes to rail travel. Our tracks are just so old!
Hello Ryan, interesting RUclips as always. Note that here in Europe we call 300 kms an hour high-speed. I don't know why the train slowed down but it might have been technical issues. Only Rome-Florence-Bologna is truly high-speed (it's a newly contructed line) but Bologna-Venice would be over the classic line which is probably limited to around 200 kms an hour (or less).
@@ryansoflyThe section from Florence to Bologna runs through the Apennines. Long tunnel. A new high speed line opened some years ago. There may have been an issue ...I don't know. But Bologna-Venice remains the classic line. In Italy the new high-speed lines form only a limited part of the network.
Anyway Ryan I am glad you enjoyed European rail. Spain now has more high-speed track of any European country. On Madrid-Barcelona there are several high-speed rail operators all competing for customers !
19:45 An interesting disclaimer and interpretation of European and international law, for sure. If I may ask, did your lawyer in Shanghai or Sydney advise you?
Seeing how I do not come from either cities, or do I even have anything remotely to do with them.... Your attempt to connect me there is rather interesting.
@@Alex_Rome this law applies to you as well if you intend to smuggle drugs past international borders into the country. You say medieval, I say good on them.
I absolutely love the train system in Italy so great
I love high speed train travel ANYWHERE! 😉

Yes I would return to Venice in a heartbeat. So beautiful.

Good to know! Trains in the EU are great.
Thanks for a great video Ryan, see you in next video.
Thanks mate! See you in the next one!
Great...from Italy!
@@marinaruzzon3637 thank you! Much love from Australia! 🥂

Thanks mate! Yeah I thought a train review if this is my seat, this is the cafe car, this is my lunch etc was a little run on the mill. 😂
We Love ❤ travel by train 🍒🍒🍒 We directly subscribed 👍
Glad you enjoyed the video. Thanks for you support 🙏🙏🙏🙏!
Thanks! Great video! I would love to do more train travel in Italy, and this gives some good information. A Japan train video would be terrific.
They're still not as reliable as Japanese or Korean high speed rail though when it comes to on time performance. 😏

Thanks Ryan, although i have only passed through Italy on a Magic Bus in 1982 at midnight, so i can't comment. But I am in no hurry to return

Yes Ryan but......... was the train coffee Barista quality? 😁Looking forward to doing a similar journey in 1-2 years so thanks for the sneak peak.
Hahahahaha.... It was an Illy coffee machine. A one button presto wonder. 🤣🤣
A suggestion, a trip to Iceland and also countries like Norway etc.

I'm hoping to travel from Venice to Rome on this fast train in November. I have found a good deal with Qatar airways flying back to Adelaide from Rome

The train slowed down from Firenze Statuto onwards. Who knows what happened? The rail system in Europe is awesome.

Is it true in Singapore capital punishment by hanging is a legal penalty? That is cruel...Is it safe to travel there?
Capital punishment is a great deterrent. Crime rate is extremely low.

Hammy.
How surprising for Italy!
Perhaps I caught them on the wrong day? Yeah that ham was nasty. 😂
I was watching it expecting you to say it was delicious Parma or prosciutto when I first saw it… along with some delicious cheese. 😂
Ryan what’s the outro song and artist?
I always forget to ask!
To be honest, I'm not sure. That soundtrack was provided by a video editing software I use to produce this content.
