Some MR channels really do end up not cleaning the audio properly so when they do noise reduction or try to get rid of the BGM, they also end up distorting the live voices. That's why sometimes, it sounds like the voices are fading in and out or you can barely hear them. I do agree that sometimes it's not because the channel is biased against the group though.

The backtrack is the original, so you still hear Mina's voice, but Chaeng also sing along while perform, and she adjust to Mina's key, you can see the different between Chaeng's part and Mina's part.

Pre-recorded means that they sing this song backstage before they do the performance while stand still. And when they perform.. they will use that audio that they record at first. That's why TWICE IS QUEEN. Because when they're singing while stand still.. it sounds like the real audio. Wow...😇😇😇😇

oh my god, how come there's so many people in these comments that don't know what pre-recorded means? pre-recorded means that there's back-up vocals WHILE they're singing live. they did what BTS does during their other comebacks and performances in other countries sometimes (I used BTS' name to show that even if they're one of the top idols, they still use back-up vocals because it's hard to sing live w/ hard choreo so they use pre-recorded/back-up vocals.) this is why in Mina's part that Chaeng sung we heard Mina and Chaeng's voice at the same time. so in summary, TWICE DID NOT LIP SYNC, THEY SUNG LIVE WITH A LITTLE BIT OF HELP FROM A PRE-RECORDED TRACK.
To people that don’t know, pre recorded means recording an imperfect vocal recording beforehand that sounds live. When you hear a performance, there’s the song track: either with some backing vocals or no singing voice at all (which is called MR) and the singing: with live vocals (genuine performances) or pre recorded vocals (which the artist lip syncs to). MR removed videos will take out the MR and so we hear the singing. But it won’t take out a pre recorded track if there is one so if they lip sync, you will hear pre recorded singing rather than live vocals. It’s done to make a performance sound live when it isn’t. Artists do it for some stages for many reasons like if they are debuting and/or need to focus on not messing up on dancing; beginning promotion of a new song (which is what we are seeing here); get sick or are doing a lot of stages where they will get tired and need to rest their voice and save energy for bigger and more important stages. It’s not a big deal, it’s how the industry works basically every group does it as it’s unrealistic to expect them to do every performance live as dancing can be draining and will affect their health. Very few artists will do every performance live, an example would be Mamamoo as they are vocal heavy and have simpler choreo so they don’t get as tired as other groups. But most will have at least a few prerecorded stages sometimes more than usual like NCT as they are very dance heavy and more about performance than vocals. But Twice have performed live properly many times so they’ve already proved their vocal stability. It’s just that this performance in particular doesn’t represent that cause it’s is in fact lip sync. If it’s not obvious whether it’s live and sounds too perfect to be true (aka “my faves eat CDs for breakfast”), it’s likely pre recorded. Why do some people think that someone stating that a performance is “pre recorded” is offensive and makes them an anti like no sis that’s not the case do your research. Mcountdown normally has pre recorded performances, that’s just how it is. JYP is not forcing them to lip sync and for god sake, the girls shouldn’t be singing every stage live. Twice have tight schedules, do many stages and have many comebacks, think of their health, they aren’t robots.

Pre-recorded means that they sing this song backstage before they do the performance while stand still. And when they perform.. they will use that audio that they record at first. That's why TWICE IS QUEEN. Because when they're singing while stand still.. it sounds like the real audio. Wow...😇😇😇😇

oh my god, how come there's so many people in these comments that don't know what pre-recorded means? pre-recorded means that there's back-up vocals WHILE they're singing live. they did what BTS does during their other comebacks and performances in other countries sometimes (I used BTS' name to show that even if they're one of the top idols, they still use back-up vocals because it's hard to sing live w/ hard choreo so they use pre-recorded/back-up vocals.) this is why in Mina's part that Chaeng sung we heard Mina and Chaeng's voice at the same time. so in summary, TWICE DID NOT LIP SYNC, THEY SUNG LIVE WITH A LITTLE BIT OF HELP FROM A PRE-RECORDED TRACK.

To people that don’t know, pre recorded means recording an imperfect vocal recording beforehand that sounds live. When you hear a performance, there’s the song track: either with some backing vocals or no singing voice at all (which is called MR) and the singing: with live vocals (genuine performances) or pre recorded vocals (which the artist lip syncs to). MR removed videos will take out the MR and so we hear the singing. But it won’t take out a pre recorded track if there is one so if they lip sync, you will hear pre recorded singing rather than live vocals.
It’s done to make a performance sound live when it isn’t. Artists do it for some stages for many reasons like if they are debuting and/or need to focus on not messing up on dancing; beginning promotion of a new song (which is what we are seeing here); get sick or are doing a lot of stages where they will get tired and need to rest their voice and save energy for bigger and more important stages. It’s not a big deal, it’s how the industry works basically every group does it as it’s unrealistic to expect them to do every performance live as dancing can be draining and will affect their health. Very few artists will do every performance live, an example would be Mamamoo as they are vocal heavy and have simpler choreo so they don’t get as tired as other groups. But most will have at least a few prerecorded stages sometimes more than usual like NCT as they are very dance heavy and more about performance than vocals.
But Twice have performed live properly many times so they’ve already proved their vocal stability. It’s just that this performance in particular doesn’t represent that cause it’s is in fact lip sync.
If it’s not obvious whether it’s live and sounds too perfect to be true (aka “my faves eat CDs for breakfast”), it’s likely pre recorded.
Why do some people think that someone stating that a performance is “pre recorded” is offensive and makes them an anti like no sis that’s not the case do your research. Mcountdown normally has pre recorded performances, that’s just how it is. JYP is not forcing them to lip sync and for god sake, the girls shouldn’t be singing every stage live. Twice have tight schedules, do many stages and have many comebacks, think of their health, they aren’t robots.
