Dubai was nearly collapsing financially in 2019 and property investors were about to lose everything as asking prices were often half of what it used to be 3 years earlier. Come 2020 and covid lockdown, the strategy of one of the only countries open for tourism was a strategic decision and then came the Russo Ukraine war and while most of the world was cancelling rich Russians, the UAE welcomed them and their money which then led to this silly price inflation that pits Dubai today with Monaco in terms of prices and that's just nuts as its only liveable for 6 months of the year.
