Thanks for posting this. Brought back great memories of being a student in Nottingham (Clarendon College) in the 1970s. Loved seeing that the old Boots stores distinctive windows are still in tact. Looks like its closed now, (used to be Zara's?). The main square sure has changed. And Debenhams. I loved going there as a child.
It's tragic seeing how Americanized the city core has become. American fast food joints. Bicycle delivery mules. E-scooters. Lack of greenery. So few trees. To much American influence.
It's still better than having empty shops. The way city centres are now used as changed with a lot of people shopping online. Nottingham is full of parks and green spaces
At least everyone is walking. Although raised in Nottingham I've lived in the US for many years now and everyone drives everywhere. It is the biggest difference I see between the US and UK.
Boring? You serious. Try living in Eastbourne. There's fuck all to do, a small chavy town. Old people that complain. Don't tell me what's boring. I regret moving here. Be glad to leave. I'm moving to nottingham.
what a vibe man :)
Amazing city ❤❤

I used to live in Derbyshire, and would visit Nottingham. They had great shops and good places to eat.
