Glad it came home, I'm just glad there still some nice people out there to help you, I just got my first mavic and Wow was scared to fly at first but when I did I'm now addicted to it.
it's illegal here to fly higher than 400 feet. glad to see you got your mavic back especially without any tragedies like a car accident where somebody was killed because of the quad crash landing in the nearby highway.
In the US, only in controlled airspace. But outside in the desert or woods outside of airspace (Use your judgement and common sense) You can fly higher then 400 feet.
Oh my god so many of these commenters are incredibly annoying! They literally go from drone vid to drone vid starting arguments and pointing fingers. CHILL THE FUCK OUT! Cool video Im happy you got it back and good editing! Fly safe.
Good people still in this world. Had you been close to me I'd gladly have hunted. I'd hope someone would bring one of my drones back. Luckily I use drone gps trackers on mine. You can activate beeping that helps find them unless underwater. Lol happy flying.
I have several videos lately of their DJI Mavic Pro quad-copters loosing their minds and flying away. Is it a glitch in the software or is it operator problem (not doing a compass calibration) before they start flying? I still think DJI should have a beeping device so the operator can push a button on the controller and have the drone make a loud beep to direct the pilot to the craft.
+Kurniawan Sungkono visually inspect the prop center pieces , and inner for any stress cracks . I use my cell phone with enough light and zoom in on it . It will show you if there are any stress cracks
I'm going to smear my drone with meat grease and have my 3 dogs find it around my house, then by rewarding them with treats they will always be on the look out for it when I say search,so if I lose it out somewhere, I'll have my dogs help me search for it.
Nice view. Sorry to see this happen to your Mavic. Hope all has been sorted out now. May i just ask, how to get or where to get the dji mavic clip at the begining of this video? Been wanting to know for months now. Thanks. Toots
Ricart Armand Severino I just used a RUclips video downloader and saved the video to my computer then I emailed it to myself and imported it into iMovie on my iPhone and edited the movie there .
Over 500’, way beyond VLOS. A total disregard of FAA rules for commercial pilots in command and safety guidelines for recreational pilots. Get with it. Most lost drones result from irresponsible long distance flying. You were lucky.
Shut i just lost my one in washington by toutle river my mavic pro i told a guy the cordenatea and location i do not know if he found it coordenates are 46.345109-122.896997
retro93292 dam that's crap I have to look at my spare set I bought Did the blade just snap? They prob break em and crazy glue it so their country sells more drones Plausible
+AboxofMonsters yeah it looks like it snapped from the ring because the other side was intact and the metal pin was still there . Must have had a stress crack.
Hi! This is because you forgot the FLIGHT CHECK LIST. ruclips.net/video/mE3HEEf7vlE/видео.html DO IT BEFORE ANY FLIGHT! Thanks for watching! Waiting and looking forward to your comments
I'm sorry, but I do not understand why people give 1000$ for the dron, and sorry to give them $ 20 for the set of original propellers, I do not understand it at all, never never understand this
Laugh for Life yes , please inspect your props thoroughly before take off . Basically besides the motors your props are the #1 point of failure for the any drone .
I just bought my mavic yesterday but it won't let me calibrate it yet alone fly it keeps saying interference connection poor so I moved to a whole different location and it says the same thing I think I'm just going to return it
BoogSteeL Xxx if you moved to a totally different location and used a windows PC to calibrate it and it still has issues I would return . Manufacture defect :(
Sookie Endo the max height limit is actually 400ft , but that's 400ft above the tallest structure. The windmills were above around 700-800 feet. So I was good to fly .
Same in U.K. It may be 400 feet above the tallest structure but looking at the video it seems you weren't over the windmills at all (which in itself would have been rather irresponsible) so your using their height to justify yours seems incorrect! Glad you found the drone, I would take a lesson from the experience and stay lower. Safe flying. Peter
Uriel Gutierrez FAA guideline state 400 ft above the tallest structure , not in general or else a plane could not fly close to those heights or they will hit the windmills
Sookie Endo Sorry I misunderstood. I thought, looking at the video, you weren't actually over the windmills. It looked like you had cleared them and moved on but was still maintaining that very high altitude. My mistake. Safe flying. Peter
Great rescue mission. Nice to see there still good people walking amongst us. Small communities like this...
Big ups to Chris, man.
Elroy McKay thanks .
Glad it came home, I'm just glad there still some nice people out there to help you, I just got my first mavic and Wow was scared to fly at first but when I did I'm now addicted to it.
Mark Vlogs Daily yeah as long as you treat it right it will treat you right .
The same thing happens to me when I was buy a dji fpv.First time scared to fly but now I'm addicted too.
Great story and documentation. Really nice to know there are kind and considerate people still out there👍
sirhilsam thanks , just wanted to share my first experience owning the mavic pro and my sort of sad story :)
I remember reading this in the group! So glad I got to see the finally! Thank you!!!
WOW. The world needs more of these stories. AWESOME story AWESOME MAN! God bless, keep flying safe.
MICHAEL
DiciurcioCabinets MDiciurcio thanks man , yeah the world does have great people in it . It's not all hate :)
Great story with a happy ending!!Thank you for sharing mate..
Great story!👍
you got very lucky! i know many would have told you they never found it, but taken it themselves
So cool. Give that guy a beer

Great story, great community.

Jason Caston thanks man , really appreciate the positive in some people .

joseph kaminski which ones do you use ?
Lucky lad!
So what caused the drone to fall? Impact with something?
I have several videos lately of their DJI Mavic Pro quad-copters loosing their minds and flying away. Is it a glitch in the software or is it operator problem (not doing a compass calibration) before they start flying?
I still think DJI should have a beeping device so the operator can push a button on the controller and have the drone make a loud beep to direct the pilot to the craft.
Send your backup drone up and do an areal search to locate it.
Perfect teletubbie landscape
Why did it drop any idea ?
Wow I'm very happy to have just joined this awesome community.. What happened did it hit something?
It's ok I found my answer a little lower...
can you please advise how to check whether the prop is already proper before take off?
+Kurniawan Sungkono visually inspect the prop center pieces , and inner for any stress cracks . I use my cell phone with enough light and zoom in on it . It will show you if there are any stress cracks
it should be "stupidity strikes high in the sky"!!!
You've probably already answered this but whaty caused the crash so high up?
This made me tear up
I'm going to smear my drone with meat grease and have my 3 dogs find it around my house, then by rewarding them with treats they will always be on the look out for it when I say search,so if I lose it out somewhere, I'll have my dogs help me search for it.
LMAO
Tim Ballentine good idea man!! now I missed my dog
And when they find it they will eat it.
And bite it from it’s gimbal and bring it home 😋😂
I suggest using bacon grease. That way you can rest assured that if any Muslim snatches it there going straight to hell
Excellent story and also a nice mavic cover custom made or?
cool thanks I shall take a look

Why did it fall? I’m curious because today while flying my Mavic it acted crazy, lost connection and said imu, compass error!!!🛩😩
Lucky. Is it permissible for you to fly so close to wind turbines and highways?
Nope :)
why would that question be relevant ?
Set a GPS SIM tracker and wrap it in bubble wrap.
Круто! поздравляю!
nice story...
bagus hr thanks
that would have to be the worst place to fly
no comment but it looked like the perfect place
What’s the causes to crushed?
Hope you gave the guy who found your expensive drone a Reward or finders fee.
justin eben I actually did give him $100 , which is more than a Refresh replacement cost :)
Brilliant
I'm from Dublin, where did you take off - Flynn road on top of Livermore?
Walter Chui this was Flynn road it was like a shortcut with hardly any cars around
Amazing! Where did you get your Mavic skin from??
Great video and great team work. Which group is it? Think i'd love to join it :)
+MrDragonfyr look for the “ Mavic Pro Owners Group “ on Facebook
Already a part of that group :)
Shut i just lost my one in washington by toutle river my mavic pro i told a guy the cordenatea and location i do not know if he found it coordenates are 46.345109-122.896997
what caused it?
Hello why did your drone loose all control
07siksi broken prop , most likely because I bought a cheap China knock off :/
retro93292 dam that's crap I have to look at my spare set I bought Did the blade just snap? They prob break em and crazy glue it so their country sells more drones Plausible
07siksi I bought aftermarket props from GEEK
+AboxofMonsters yeah it looks like it snapped from the ring because the other side was intact and the metal pin was still there . Must have had a stress crack.
retro93292 ouch. thanks for sharing this. definitely avoid aftermarket parts for the drone.
great story! have you figured out why your mavic suddenly fell?
+Andy Quan yeah I bought some cheap propellers from an app called “GEEK “ only buy DJI Brand
What made it fall from the sky?
probante also wanna know it
You guys should work for 4 Chan😂😂😂
Where is your find my drone app ???
+SuppressF0rce they didn't have it when this happened
You didn't use the find my drone option?
scej79 the find my drone was not available when my drone crashed :(
Hi! This is because you forgot the FLIGHT CHECK LIST.

so, any suggestion from this accident?
Laugh for Life yes , please inspect your props thoroughly before take off . Basically besides the motors your props are the #1 point of failure for the any drone .
retro93292 this message is really helpful for me because I am planing to buy Mavic soon but I afraid it waste my money with accident crashing
super lucky makes me nervous to fly mine now
BoogSteeL Xxx don't be scared , just do your pre flight checks and you should be good . That mavic is a reliable bird :)
Manufacture defect :(
retro93292 I returned 1 before I bought another because the camera was defected it kept saying camera is detached from humble and was spazzing out
Baaaaarrrf!!
Love videos that depict how stupid some people are
tom brown yup , humans all make mistakes :)
Windows xp error
I am crying
+sylvain sylvain don’t cry :)
drone valet 1:03
I knew that place looked familiar thats by Livermore
+BoogSteeL Xxx yeah Livermore Laboratories used their high tech space weapons to take down my drone
haha
BOOMERS!!!
bad luck for a bad pilot.
you shouldn't be flying 700+feet in the sky. 500ft is max. your lucky to find it, just avoid flying so high
Sookie Endo the max height limit is actually 400ft , but that's 400ft above the tallest structure. The windmills were above around 700-800 feet. So I was good to fly .
500 meters is the limit. 400 feet is the law in U.S.

So sad
Why did the altimeter read 146 feet when the quad hit the ground? ps I am a noob so please go easy on me.
Sub #75
Another tragedy happened :( ruclips.net/video/goVA9V_nVB8/видео.html
