Could be. I’m sure cleetus makes sure his home drag strip is prepped properly. It’s not his track but he works closely with those guys. A lot of the times the drag strip managers don’t even care for smaller events.
Bradenton takes great pride in their prep surface. One of the best in the states. This was just embarrassing, for bristol... pathetic prep work. I get that there is back to back events, in separate facilities. Which is taxing to the race tracks staff, but this was just dangerous
Bradenton's prep is very, very good. Super unusual for a track of that size to be prepped that well on a consistent basis. It speaks to everyone’s character that they don’t but it would be so satisfying to hear the team rip on the track for these piss poor conditions
23:03 IDK why, but this moment cracked me up. Sam’s High-Tailing it Somewhere to do Something, as Pete Emerges from the Toter to saunter over with a New Bag for Papa. Garrett’s built himself One Hell of a Team & he got 1st Place Hardware to prove it.
Congrats on the win Cleet! I'm glad Jackstand didn't crash!
Love our Racing family.. FL Crew ty Brothers.
I'm so glad you guys turned mullet into what he was always meant to be, a certified ripper. The jet car idea was cool but this is way better.
"A 2JZ no shit! Bet you didn't see that coming." Lol
I’ll never understand why a track will host an event and not have the track in prime surface condition like yea I know it rained but get out there with a dryer and start spraying some prep
Love when George videos and gives so much info great camera guy
That moment with George and the dog was so wholesome
I remember when Bristols prep area was a dirt lot and the bleachers were butted up against the wall. I went there last Thanksgiving and couldn't believe how much it had changed.
Happy birthday James and I also agree. The track manager should be fired. Those conditions were ridiculous.
That track prep is a embarrassing effort
What effort? 😅
I've seen more prep on a back road in upstate NY 😂. I'm kidding. Looked really tough, but congratulations on the win. Keep it up through the rest of the weekend
I've seen roads in mexico with better prep tbh
"Wee wooo ERRRRRRRKKKKKK we wooooooon!!!! Hahahah
Pete was like look hold it straight and i will make you win, i love that man.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY JACKSTAND!!!! Go win the race brother, DO IT FOR DALE!!!
Imagine going to a pro basketball game and they hose down the floors before the players come out 😂
I'd like to think if I owned a track I'd pride myself on the prep 🤷🏻♂️
It's what makes or breaks a track. One time, yeah, shit happens. But to never prep the track the entire time they're racing... they should be ashamed.
That's what happens when a Corp, owned track doe's not care.
Great idea for a science segment. Not sure if a track would support the idea, but set up a spray system that sprays the back tires with the same sticky spray used on dynos as you got down the track/road if no track will allow it. Just to see if in a no prep, or bad track conditions something could be used to get an edge.
The drag strip view looks beautiful. I can’t believe how slick that track is.
Icey veins on that Jackstand run. Well done, sir.
Happy birthday jackstand 💯❤️🏁
You stay on that editing grind bro 🙌. We brought our Twin Turbo 6.2 raptor crown vic last night but killed the clutch. Was hoping you could've gave it a rip.
Dude I love y’all’s channel ain’t nun better than watching y’all fuck around with a some bad ass machines and smoke a little much love from Alabama
@ceejay long means a lot man!
@Boost & Bad Habits you guys and Cletus are my favorite channels I wanna start building my street car and let y’all drive it one day it’s a huge dream of mine and one day when it’s done I’m gonna get ahold of y’all if you ain’t to busy and stuff and see if I can bring my car to y’all and get y’all to drive it or anything one time
21:21 that engine bay and sound of this supra is just awsome thats a serious engine setup huge 98 mm turb.... moly holy 🐌 🚀 if thats a billet block then that would be insane
Happy birthday James and congratulations on the win Cleet (team)!
You boys are not lucky. You're persistent and determined, that's the ticket to the W every day
@@bigduphusaj162 you're name suits you..
@Big duphus AJ reckless? These guys have done hundreds and hundreds of passes with zero crashes. Their cars are safe, they passed the safety checks. What recklessness are you talking about?
@@richarddangles69 that win wasn't luck. Cleetus burnt the guys transmission down by taking almost 10 seconds to bump in. Cleetus should have been disqualified.
It's always fun racing on a track when the track doesn't want. People racing a large portion of why tracks are dying they don't want to prep. They want you to just go out and run on what they give ya.
Man they need that track dialed before you even arrived!
Enjoyed the video. Title it "We suck at going slow, Part II". :) That was some scary stuff seeing all the cars breaking loose on the top end.
Happy Birthday Jackstand 🎉
It was so funny to see cleet race the supra with mcflurry. Cleet was actually shook on the first one but It would have ran that other supra to I'd it didn't backfire. Mcflurry is a beast man!
These tracks need to get their stuff together. I love watching these videos and it sucks that Cleetus and crew has to put in so much effort into these vids just for 10s in a 6 second car.
When the track doesn’t put in the same effort
that's the most sketchy surface I think I have ever seen u guys run on.. dayum!😳😳
How does a track host an event like that and not prep the track at all? ? ? I hope all these guys remember this next year and no one shows up
This track will be packed for the rest of the season. The promoter of this specific event dropped the ball and didn’t pay for track prep.
@@awKtn32-_- how do you prep a no prep event. It’s literally this first line in the Street Car Takeover rules. Non prep.
@Booper uhhh it says radial prepped event for bristol....
@@HappyHarryHardon it says it’s a radial prepped event.
@@Just.aDude.0 Fair. I’m an idiot.
Happy birthday, James!!!!
6:18 dang dude that surface is slick!
A win is a win! Looked like extremely tough track conditions.
Dragstrip: Yeah.. Well.. That's probably because I was in no condition to be holding street car races. Maybe go carts? 🤔 but even that might be pushing it.. 😒
Please Mr Cleeter McSkeeter, don't give us spoilers in the video title / thumbnail!!! 😭😭😭😭😭
Happy belated birthday to James, he is one hell of an entertainer and mechanic haha Keep up the great work fellas
That LS George dog warmed my heart!
I'm not a drag racer, but why does it seem that whenever you guys are on a different drag strip, it always seems like it's a less than ideal prep 90% of the time. Maybe Bradenton is just superior?
Especially considering that, it's florida, it rains almost every day, and rain ruins prep. Bristol, being an NHRA track, should have good prep. They know how, they just didn't bother for this event, probably trying to save a buck.
Bradenton is known for having some of, if not the absolute best prep in the country
Maybe the track thought it was supposed to be a no prep race. JK JK 😅
