If I'm not mistaken, this episode was in 1961. Billy Mumy was 7 and obviously knew how to be aggressive and sweet at the same time. That quality was more evident on Lost In Space.
Even back then they had to make sure the number game was played. When Billy ran up to the top of the courthouse to see Mr. Mason, he had to mention there were 322 steps to the top floor ...just switch, 223 skull and bones. Everything's coded.

I recognize the voice of Mr. Sheridan, on the witness stand. He did voiceovers.
What a nice subplot to keep the audience guessing with emotion. Perry is merely eliminating suspects in court, while zeroing in on the culprit.
Diane Ladd played the blonde testifying when Billy Mumy ran into the courtroom.
Was she the murderer? Was that her gun?
