Nice solution however I have LT version without truss feature. I use walls and edit the profile instead. When using this approach it is important to disallow joins at wall ends.
Thank you for your useful tutorial. I have question, i have problem copy paste from the project file to family file. How do you copy paste the profile line drawing to family file ? any tips ?
Dude this is aweful and just so painful to even watch. Only a totally new revit user or a masochist will do this. Save your time to enjoy a bit of life by just doing a wall cutout or just create a simple outline extrusion in revit or other cad program and you will achieve the same results in a fraction of the time.
One of the most effective videos. It was just what I was looking for. Thank you so much.
Thanks for this tutorial. I can use it on a current project.

Can we add sme kindo f connection joints for the final segments that are missing, instead of manualy extending the ends?
Hi buddy ,
Can you make a tutorial on portal frame revit family as well
We would like to see tuts in unreal engine :)
i think just model in place would be a bit simpler
Probably, but this would mean large structural data loss
Def want to keep the "i" in BiM
@@macunni2 unless you are an architect and an engineer at the same time. otherwise just waste of time.
