  • Cotton Tree Backdam is a must visit!! An experience you are sure to enjoy. Gone are the days where there were just huge trees like a forest. Rice farming, cattle rearing, fruit and vegetable farming are some of the main economic activities done here. One can get there by boat or any land transportation . Farmers are working hard daily to ensure we have rice, watermelon, all vegetables and fresh local produce daily. Do support by buying their produce. That way they will be motivated to plant more.

Hey guys, another very interesting and absolutely wonderful post. These are some great childhood memories as well for me as far as the farming goes. I really loved those farms. Those farmers are really working hard to keep their crops growing healthy. It's so nice that you guys had the opportunity to meet up with your neighbor on the watermelon farm. He is so generous too. It's a Guyanaese thing to be hospitable. All of those farmers are so friendly and accommodating. They welcomed you guys genuinely. Boi I love to get a drive on that sand road like you do as well as I loved the combine to sit and get a drive. When we were very young in Guyana we used to help the people to take off the mud from the wheels of the combine to get a drive around when they were harvesting the rice. I loved farm life. My father used to have a farm but we used to have things like ground provisions and vegetables and plantains , bananas, corn and things like those sort. It's my desire to visit a farm with those huge trees. Are they any fruit trees that's growing wild in those bushes? Once again it's an amazing post. Appreciate the time that you and your family took to bring us this wonderful post. Have a blessed night guys ❤❤❤✌️✌️✌️🙏🙏👍🏽👍🏽👋👋👋💯💯💯🇬🇾🇬🇾🇬🇾🇬🇾🇬🇾✔️✔️✔️✔️✔️

I am so disappointed at the side of the watermelon in Guyana, when I was a kid the Mellon was twice the size.
