mister, super thanks for your help.
@@LuanBermudez don’t thank me! Thank Dan! He’s the reason why we’re trying to sing like real boy band stars lol
@@nostalgiajumper0233 already did this 8 days ago lol happy new year for all you there!
@@LuanBermudez my bad bro lol u too
Thanks mate!
Your the man bro you have a gift in breaking down harmonies really well it's scary. Backstreet boys is my favourite group
I'd probably have to say the same thing. I can't deny that I grew up with them since 1999
2:48 Giving me goosebumps hearing it acapella like that. I grew up to this music. Excellent job! Love how you and your brother both do these kind of videos, too
Thanks alot I grew up on BSB too. Three was a few years where it was all I listened to
@@danthemanbardoI even remember Burger King giving out CDs or something of boy band singles around 1998, too! Don't remember if it was BSB or NSync but I had the whole collection at one point.
Are you still wanting to branch out? Could I suggest something like Home Free's version of Delta Dawn for analysis or cover? Different genre of music but their harmonies are AMAZING
@@garrisonsan yes you can I know who home free is
Great job on the high notes!!
Thank u
To add to your remarks around 10:40 onward, yes for some reason the baritone voice is absent at specific points in the chorus, particularly the end of the section, "I want it that-a-way." I found the 2001 clip you once cited when transcribing Kev's live harmony. His mic is unusually loud and you can plainly hear him starting on C# and working down, contrary to how it sounds on studio acapella. No telling whether they came up with that live version phrasing before or after the track was released, and why it is different in the CD version. Another thing you discovered in the past is Brian in live versions will stay straight on a C# pitch at "I want ..." instead of how it is arranged on the CD. Funny how bands and singers will change little things like that while performing live.
Wow wow I'm impressed yeah I've been on a journey and you even know the notes and that's right this comment just wowed me aha sweet
@@danthemanbardo I'm similarly impressed with your side of it! You're the one doing all the work here haha.
thank you very much for that video! its very interesting and you're the first one who deconstruct the harmonies in their songs!
Super great job friend, love it. 😊
U look great man! Please work on more one direction stuff… like, “last first kiss” or “over again”
Very accurate. You're amazing bro
Thnx alot. And the song means a lot to me
I can tell😊 ive also been a die hard boyband fanatic and you're just confirming all the vocals ive been trying to figure out myself.😂
Masterclass ❤
Thank you for this tutorial 😊
@@edrianjude thank you for watching means alot
Please do better place but from the actual movie with all the harmonies they literally give me chills and I would love to hear them
Is there a different version ? U mentioned from the actual movie
@@danthemanbardothe family harmony one has all the harmony stacks and it is a shorter version from the trolls movie
you're amazing mate. can you come back and do more one direction? your covers back in those days were quite accurate
I was working on I have the project readyish I have to revisit it

Awesome tutorial. Can you make a video explaining the formula behind the arrangement of BSB harmonies?
Interesting I would have to try to come up with how I can explain. But I guess I can.
I do like that
@@danthemanbardo awesome 👍👍👍👍👍
i feel nostalgic i remeber the first time you relased the first version i don't know if u remember or if u can see how long ive been subscribed to u and to ur twin borther XD 🖤
I wand my bro to upload more. He could get more viewers. At one point he had more subs than me.
Marvelous work!
Missed you bro
You are absolutely amazing!! great work! helped a lot!
hey thanks alot. i really mean that
Sounds great!
Thnx so much 😊
Love it! Thank you!

I need a harmony chorus tutorial Fool Again of Westlife entire song
This is pretty good, maybe for each harmony song that u make u should add like the sixth part so that it doesn’t have to be only 5 part. But overall very good on finding each singing parts
Interesting idea
lets goo
Wowwww🫢🫢🫢Thank you so much for the wonderful video!!!!The chorus is so amazing🤩Can I use it as a reference video in class??😃😃
Sure y not
Thank you for the great video! Have a great day😊
Thank you so much
I'm always interested in backing vocals but I usually can never find anything to figure out what they're singing.
Could you cover songs from Semisonic and Everclear? Those bands use backing vocals pretty well but there's no one covering the vocals, especially for Semisonic since no one knows them except for Closing Time.
i heard closing time on the radio all the time
It's a great song! Overplayed, but still great! @@danthemanbardo
@@saultfry501 I think the song is funny trying to take the concept of closing the store but being all deep about it
@danthemanbardo Yeah, I really like that. Having it being about both a bar closing and a baby being born is funny.
It actually relates to Dan Wilson's (The guy who wrote the song) baby! He sorta wrote it in anticipation of being a father.
Are you still making videos? I am a huge fan of yours. We in Brazil have "arautos do rei" quartet, which is as big as gaither vocal band, you should search for it. I also learn english watching your videos, thank you very much.
After Nicks high note, i am trying to figure out Brians part. Live performances almost sound like he is doing Howies part almost! Which Aint Nothing part would Brian be?
yeah. live i know is not how its done on the arrangement after the bridge
great video, i can see how the end part work
can you do the same thing to Shape of My Heart too please
Hi, can u do Belinda Carlisle 's Heaven is a place on earth?
bye bye NSYNC please!!
I’ll be the one should be next!

Perfection
i honestly think this is your ticket to studying the harmonies to songs in a really easy way ruclips.net/video/FGFUGKQqLYE/видео.html in the video when i heard it isolated it didnt sound filtered or anything and can even separate lead vox so u can hear the backings.
May you do the same with the music “Don’t wanna lose you now”? But not the studio’s version, but one they sang live. Specifically in the conseco field. In this version I think all of them are singing in the chorus, but versión studio has some holes…
👋 Hello Danny boy
can you also break down the whole song of shape of my heart?
Yeah I can take A listen and try to piece it out. That song being a single of theirs I have course have tried listening before and seeing what's going on
the part after nicks part. talking about the part before the key change. the melody is ridiculously loud live and in the track which is what makes it hard. i do remember the tutorial u uploaded where u wanted to show a weird ring u hear in the "now let me" vocal and u only did 4 harmonies instead of 5. i already found 3 of the harmonies from karaoke tracks since they have all the actual harmonies and idk how they get them that easy. i was also trying to hear out for the harmonies i heard in the karaoke produced tracks and it ends up being the real deal. i always dont look at karaoke tracks. ofc i always watch live acapella performances where they sing it in the right key.
im just surprised these karaoke channels can just pick out the actual harmonies that are in the songs that easy. idk if they get it from bsb themselves or actually study it.
Omg you also talk like your brother. 😄🇵🇭
Bro, do the full harmony parts of Bye Bye Bye by nsync
I can give that a try. I wanted to redo a full video of it cuz. I have like correction videos n it's can be alot to try n keep up with
To sum it up,
Chorus(es):
Nick, A.J. (and quite possibly, Brian) - melody
Brian: high harmony
Kevin: low harmony
Howie D. octave-up melody
Kevin's verse (or whatever you'd call it)
On "yeah",
it seems to me, that there are, at least, four guys singin' (Kevin's lead counted), as I can hear someone else's voice (I bet, it's A.J.) on the same "melody" note with Kevin. My guess is,
Kevin - melody,
A.J. - doubling the melody
Nick - high harmony
Brian - double high harmony
On the last "of me",
A.J. - high harmony
Brian - double high harmony
In the bridge ("Ain't nothing but a heartache..." part), it seems to me that there are, at least, two Brians present: the "main melody" Brian (possibly, along with Nick) and the "confusing", higher / in-between the melody and Howie" Brian.
Besides that,
Brian: harmonizes Nick in the first (and last) chorus(es), on "hear you say", A.J. in the second verse, and himself in the second and third choruses on the same "hear you say" (live: it would be A. J. handling this part whenever Brian's doin' the melody)
The only bit you seem to be missing (besides all the ad-libs during the last two choruses) is Brian's doubled (or tripled) vocals at the beginning of each line in the third chorus, where he goes (in perfect fours):
"Aiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiin't"
"Aiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiin't"
"Iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii"
These vocals quite strangely are not present in the studio acapella, but they're clearly in the actual song if you listen closely.

With all this bein' said, really nice work, dude! Appreciated.
Thanks this is basically been my favorite song since 5 years old back in 1999
This is very good. But one suggestion.....a lot less about which boy is singing which part. More on just the parts....it was hard to find the actual parts.
😮😮😮
Would it be possible to do any Britney songs?
Yes of course I've been trying to broaden the content a little bit I was strictly doing male vocal Harmony groups for a long time but I think it would be nice to Branch out I do like some of her old stuff by all means if you have one in mind I'll take a look
@@danthemanbardo The hidden harmonies in the chorus of Baby One More Time!
If you also want a girl group rec, have you heard “He Loves You Not” by Dream?
@@HighlightCat oh heck ya I know that one. I can do that one
@@danthemanbardoI think it's a good idea. I think that's what made my growth.
@@danthemanbardoI've analyzed he loves you not too. There's a strange lower part in there that almost sounds robotic. I feel like all the parts fall below the lead.
Do “I thought she knew” by *NSYNC!
I think he already did that. Or was that his brother? Lol
Now no 5...
Wait wait wait, are you and Marc Bardeau related?!
We are identical twin brothers. We both have loved harmonies. We look the same except he has long hair
Is it just me or could Nick be the one that sings the melody with AJ during the chorus?
theyl sing the melody together yes. often bsb will have more than one member singing the melody during their recordings
@@danthemanbardo as far as I understand that this is a four part harmony, I can tell if they do it live when either AJ and Nick take on the “tell me why’s”, one of them will take the melody of the chorus
