The first bass is Cthulu destroying medieval villages, and the slowing is some person defeating him, amd the slow part is him sleeping while the world continues, as the one who defeated him put him in the ocean, and then a oil spill or something happens above him in the ocean and that loud crash is him waking up, then the second bass is destroying modern citites while the random guy is praying.
